I just don't see the profit margin of why would you want to sell it for $4500.

I mean two ball bearing turbos ($2000) (two tial wastegates, tial bov) $1000.

Seems like all the materials alone would cost at least $4500 and don't see how you would be making a profit unless you were using china parts.

Sorry but im going to have to call B.S. on this one. 2 many newbs with big dreams of mass producing turbo kits.
Do you really think hot parts, intercooler piping, and an intercooler really cost $3500? If so, you are sadly mistaken.

Hey now, I think that kit may be fine, the installation and hacking of said previous car was the issue.

With the exhaust so close to the Trans, won't this cause problems?

Does this system require scavenge pumps to pump the oil out of the turbos?

Or are the turbos high enough to gravity drain back into the oil pan?

Here is why this will sell.

1.) Cheap. Nobody can touch this price.

2.) It will give the GenI guys some real bolt-on power.

Why it will not sell.

1.) Cheap. Some guys just have to shop at Nordstrum and not Wal-Mart.

2.) Limited Power.

3.) Looks. It may not best the best looking turbo system.

4.) No upgrade ablity (space limited)

5.) Unproven system. (This is the big one.)

If you can make it cost $4500. It will sell. Once you get a few on the track w/ numbers, dyno and 1/4mi. 650rwhp for arould $6,000(DIY w/Split sec or VEC) or maybe $8,000(installed). It's a no brainer to the not-so-uber-rich-viper-guy.

But much like the Roe, it will be limited to the amount of power it will make. This is a entry level kit. The turbo's are small for a viper sized lump. It will be enough for "normal" viper guys though.

For me, personaly, it will not work. It doesn't make enough power. But then again, I'm one of the craziest SOB you will ever meet. I want a 2000rwhp race car as daily driver. Crazy to the bone I am

Good luck. Keep in mind your volume will be small.

Disturbed ... what your missing here, due to lack of experience , is that you dont have to be an "uber rich viper owner" to afford a quality turbo system.

I suggest if your seriously interested in a turbo system for your viper , you call Jason @ Heffner's or Kevin at UGR and allow them to explain to you the ratio of dollars spent on thier systems, to the resale value the cars they build command.

Not to mention thier systems cant be touched by any of these cheap imitation systems .... its been said hundreds of time .... if you want a reliable, beautiful , big power producing turbo system, with a tuner that will stand behind it .... you know who to call.

Very well said. Even though that means it will be longer before I will allow myself to afford the upgrade, at least I won't be getting some crap-ass'ed half-done, engine killing "bargain" from somebody who probably designs their system in crayons and fingerpaints.

Among, With all due respect, I will have to disagree with you.

While I will agree money lost in re-sale of a big time tuner kit is better.

A lot of viper owners can't afford to spend 45k on a 1000rwhp build. I've already check pricing from UGR and Heffner.

This is more for the DIY crowd. People who would put on a Roe S/C in their garage over a few weekends. This is for the guy that HAS TO settle for a Roe instead that monster TT system he REALLY wants. We can not compair this system to something that one of the Tuners puts out.

This kit is geared more to the guys who make 40k/yr that has a wife and family to support along with his HP addiction. This is for the guy who getting an extra 10k means that he has to brown bag his lunch for the rest of his life.

I myself have close to 50k to spend. I need a full cage, build stroker motor(542cid) , Drive Train, areo kit, AEM, Big brakes, Tires/rims, fire suppresion, mono ball suspenion, ect ect ect. I've already done my homework and just in parts alone, it's over 90k. This is to convert my GTS into the high speed, high power demon I want.

So what is a guy like me going to do, to get what I want. Simple. Buy a race car. Sell my street car. Then do the build. Cost in motor/turbo and misc crap comes in a little under 50k. That's with me doing the work.

As I stated before, this kit isn't for me, or for you Among. But it is for the rest of us working whores who just want more bolt-on power. Just think of this kit as a Roe SC replacement, nothing more.

If you can save up the extra money, that's awesome! Go for one of the Tuner's kit, I think that's a great choice, if your blessed with the money to do.

Who will you go with?

i agree, its not for most here. but it IS for the DIY guy with limited funds who is happy with 650-700rwhp assuming it can get that and do it safely.

it sure does look like dave from F1's kit he was selling.
