Mumford ripped off a few :48's with me in the passenger seat a few years ago in his '01 ACR . He did the same in much better conditions back in 2000 in his silver '99 GTS with headers + Hoosiers (the day Bobby Archer claimed he was cheating).
So, John's :51 is very fast, but it's still a long way off of PMUM's times in late '90's street car hardware.
You should post that at the corvette forum. They would love that bogus video. Those Vipers just let him pass by without even trying. I was surprised at how poor handling the Z06 was. It was very nervous and unstable in the corners. Who was driving the Vipers, the Hooters girls of Tennessee?
Are you kidding me?
I am not riding any specific "auto makers" nuts, but give credit where its due. Don't get your panties in a wad for the simple fact that you come to realize you can make anything go fast. Not to mention a fucking raced prepped Z06 can out perform some of the best "track" cars in the world.

Actually, the Viper Racing League Comp Coupe's were running 49's that weekend. What you saw was John running around in Michelin Challenge (driver's ed style run groups with transponders mounted throughout the weekend) portion of Viper Days, not the race group.
Again, John is really fast. But that video is equally as misleading to people who don't know what the fuck is going on.

WAR THE REAL #27
Agreed.
And I should have been more clear - my driver runs 1:47's.

It was a fast lap regardless but I agree that the race groups would most likely kick the shit out of them. I am a novice driver so it looked pretty good to me.
RyanO-I sold the EVO. I thought you would appreciate that.
