I went to look at a new Escalade today and I got to talking about the XLR with a salesman, which led to him showing me a 94 red RT/10 Viper in prestine condition. They have it in a small service garage covered because they dont want to put it out int he open. The guy gave me a price and I thought it was fair for the car since it only had 6,000 miles, but I would like some feedback from you Viper guys, is anyone looking for one? Also we couldnt figure out how to pop the hood, any insight?
It would depend on several factors...mainly does it have the original head gaskets/tires/fluids..etc.
If those things have been addressed and this car has been properly maintained over the years then 35 would be a fair price. If it has been sitting and its all original, 32k. Tires, fluids and head gaskets will cost you 3 grand. Granted, I wouldn't hesitate to pay an extra 5-10grand to have a GTS and a 4-8 year newer car with more comforts/options.
Hood latch is up front, inside right side- top part of facia, black plastic handle/lever about 5-6 inches long, press down. Hood pops...in front, push safety latch to left, hood releases in front, pull up gently to maximum travel -12 inches or so- ...then go to back and gently lift from rear.

first you sound like a guy who was shown a car to "purchase". Now you sound like a guy who is looking to "sell" the car. Which is it? And why the secrecy, what did they ask for it?
I know a lot about GM performance cars like Vettes, TA's, and Camaros, and I know a lot about the internet and car forums so he asked if I could help him sell it. They dont have a definiete price, he said around $39,000 is what they need out of it, I am trying to help someone out that would maybe want a low mileage 94 Viper. The car is at Superior Cadillac in Fayetteville, AR. I was just wondering if it would be easier to sell it onlne, the car isnt mine by any means, but Im putting the word out for it.
The price goes lower by quite a bit if it is RED with no A/C. '94 was the third year for red, second for black. It was the first year for green and yellow, and factory-option A/C. Because of the extremely high jump in production, '94s had the most problems with build quality.
That car wont sell for 39. You can pick up an 01 RT10 for that price with 2 or 3 times the mileage, a 10th of the headaches and 10x the comforts/upgrades. Who would be looking for a low mileage 94?...and 6000 miles is not "low mileage" when dealing with Vipers. 600 miles would make it a low mileage car and perhaps spark some interest. As GTS Dean said...there is nothing collectible about an all original 94 Red RT/10 with 6000 miles.
I would pay 32MAX for that car if its all original.
