Had B&B headers and exhaust on a Porsche 911 that I had, sounded great and certainly increased the HP Still to upgrade my 97 GTS, would give some consideration to the B&B setup.
Was speaking in terms of my past experience that's all. Some would argue that the best exhausts are not bought, but fabricated right there in their own shops.
In regard to my B&B experience, the headers were/are part of the exhaust (Heat Exchangers) to exhaust, all one. So, in theory, it was only exhaust and it sounded great on a 6 cylinder, cannot imagine how nice it would sound on a V-10.
Thanks for all your replies. I put my car up on the hoist. Here's what I've found. It does have stainless uncoated headers. They are unmarked so I have no idea who makes them. The pipes are 3" stainless . There is cats in the rockers but no mufflers in the rear. I'm getting a very annoying loud rumble behind my head. I thought maybe mufflers at the tail end might correct this. I also have a AC Cobra with a 427 sideoiler so I know what muscle should sound like, but this drowns the stereo. Unfortunately I'm in western Canada where Vipers are scarce so listening to one is not an option. Does this sound like I may have something that was mickey moused together or can I work with it?
Thanks in advance,
Ron
Sounds like you are getting cabin drone from the muffler delete or whatever exhaust is currently on the car. The Corsa would likely reomove that drone.
I agree with others that headers + no catrs + Borla yields one mean sounding Viper. I had that setup on my RT/10. With the GTS and the resulting cabin drone, I don't think I'd do the same for it. Everyone's tolerance and priorities are different though.
