Question Borla or Corsa

I'm about to purchase new exhaust for a 97 GTS. Question: Borla or Corsa?
Thanks for your input in advance.

I have Corsa on my GTS. It's pretty quiet at idle, but when I get on it, you surely hear it. One vote for Corsa here

Had B&B headers and exhaust on a Porsche 911 that I had, sounded great and certainly increased the HP Still to upgrade my 97 GTS, would give some consideration to the B&B setup.

He didn't ask about headers.

Listen to both, pick one.

Was speaking in terms of my past experience that's all. Some would argue that the best exhausts are not bought, but fabricated right there in their own shops.

In regard to my B&B experience, the headers were/are part of the exhaust (Heat Exchangers) to exhaust, all one. So, in theory, it was only exhaust and it sounded great on a 6 cylinder, cannot imagine how nice it would sound on a V-10.

I prefer Borla.
IMO Corsa is more European sounding and raspy.

Borla is deeper, and just sounds more like Muscle.

Always a great idea! Listen to various setups in person and make up your mind.

Casey is EXACTLY right.

I LOVE my borla and its a lot deeper than the corsa which sounds high pitched and raspy. I dont have a drone issue either so i cant comment on that.

Borla catback and no cats = best sounding viper exhaust IMO. I get compliments from other viper owners all the time.

Thanks for all your replies. I put my car up on the hoist. Here's what I've found. It does have stainless uncoated headers. They are unmarked so I have no idea who makes them. The pipes are 3" stainless . There is cats in the rockers but no mufflers in the rear. I'm getting a very annoying loud rumble behind my head. I thought maybe mufflers at the tail end might correct this. I also have a AC Cobra with a 427 sideoiler so I know what muscle should sound like, but this drowns the stereo. Unfortunately I'm in western Canada where Vipers are scarce so listening to one is not an option. Does this sound like I may have something that was mickey moused together or can I work with it?
Thanks in advance,
Ron

Sounds like you are getting cabin drone from the muffler delete or whatever exhaust is currently on the car. The Corsa would likely reomove that drone.

I agree with others that headers + no catrs + Borla yields one mean sounding Viper. I had that setup on my RT/10. With the GTS and the resulting cabin drone, I don't think I'd do the same for it. Everyone's tolerance and priorities are different though.

You may also want to take a look at the Random Tech catback.

I also agree. I just posted a Video of my car in the GEN 2 section. It has Borla with no cats. Very Deep!

It's all personal prefference.

I've had both Borla with stock cats and Corsa with stock and High Flow Cats.

The borla sounds meaner/louder on acceleration and decelleration, but the drone is unberrable. Corsa idle sounds great.

I liked the Corsa and stock cats the best out of the combo's I've listed above.

Good sound and very little drone.

I've got B&B's with a Corsa and no cats. I love the sound. No drone, sounds great at idle with that 708 cam.
