you may be able to beat him toooooo a 1/4 mile distance, but he'll be going faster and running you down.....
new Z06 is geared to outrun you. You will need to get out of the hole better to beat him to the distance, but he'll have more mph.

Anything you do, the dude will say, well mine's stock yours is modded etc..

Gearing, power to weight ratio, aerodynamics at higher speeds, can't touch em from everything I've seen out there ( stock Vipers that is ).
Either way, they blend....
Hell, those modded Evo's, Subaru's etc...
I'm sure many are faster, but still doesn't mean I'd want one
Give the guy the few tenths..
But, cruise around for a weekend, all weekend, make a point to cruise together....
Shows, beach, whatever...
See who has more fun in their car..

Try a good set of headers and a full 3in exhaust system with a high flow low restriction muffler. If all else fails, throw a Roe S/C on it with the water meth kit ands a 10 lb pulley. That with the headers and strong tune will be plenty for the Z. However the fact that it takes that much to pull it is somewhat disappointing I must say. There was a guy at Bradenton this year running high 11's with his stock Z06 on radials I believe.

Well.. in order to kill a space shuttle, you need to give a little more detail on the other vehicle. Is it carrying parts for the international space station? or is it a russian space shuttle that is carrying a billionaire to space?!? If it's carrying parts for the space station.. you can take him.
If I were you.. I'd just zip tie a Cruise missile on your car and hit the ignition. if that fails, then you add the Super Charger, and nitrous!
and make sure you have some drag radials or slicks.

Ive read of a few bolt on gen2's trapping in the 124-127 range...Also seen a vid of a 460 rwhp bolt on GTS run door to door with fadi's 11.6 at 126 mph C6Z06...
He just came and picked me up a few hours ago..We did a few 20-80 mph blast in the Z06...He's 280 pounds and Im 220 pounds..For a combined weight of 500 pounds. To me it didnt feel any faster than my Viper...Then again though we had a lot of weight in their.........
So we'll see how it goes down in a week from dead stops as well as numerous roll speeds. Ill be fresh off the dyno with new SAE numbers..

HE CALLED ME A FEW WEEKS AGO AND ASKED ME WHAT HE SHOULD GET BETWEEN THE FGT/VIPER/Z06...
I told him FGT..But he thinks it's ugly...After going and checking them out...I told him second place get the Viper anf not to consider the z06...
yes it's badass fast......NO DOUBT....But so was a C5Z06 back in 2001 and then the 405 HP model in 2002..Now you can get them for 25 grand in many cases...Because despite how fast they were they were still simply vettes and depreciated that way...The C6z06 will be no differant an I tried and tried to explain that to him...
But never the less it's a very fast stock car and Im sure he's gonna enjoy it...
why bother upgrading a little at a time, when you can just SC or N20 it and be done with it.

Well, with everything your putting on, you might edge him out.. but if you really want results and an answer to how to KILL a C6 Z06 then my answer for you is still SC and N20. Or just wait for the new 08 to come out and open a can of Whoop ass. But if your asking "what DOES it take to edge out a C6 Z06??????" Then keep up with the good work and best of luck.

I'd take a lot more pride in beating a 2007 C6Z06 in my 99 bolt on viper...Now the question though..Can a bolt on gen2 viper beat a c6z06?
Because of cost....a basic heads/cam package installed runs 8-10K depending on what you go with.........a SC installed runs the same and has more potential out of the box.

You've already asked this question before a few months ago LOL....He is HOWFAST..
he has personally ran the car to a 10.2 at 138 mph...The previous owner ( Mike) who currently now has a TT GTS ran the car to a 9.9 at 140 mph.
I as well as hundreds of other witnesses saw the 9.9 at 140 second pass...
The car is a ROE/nos/meth GTS..And has dynoed 720-760 rwhp on various dynos....
And considering that the 9.9 second pass was done here at race way park hawaii in 80 degree weather were stock gen 2 vipers trap 115 mph vrs ATCO were stock gen 2 vipers trapp 120 mph really tells just how fast his GTS Roe car is.
