Awsome install man, keep the updates coming. It will be neat to see this DIY TT kit put together part by part.

The side mount IC's are just as easy to clean as a front mount one.

You are kinda right. You clean bugs off the front of both intercoolers, but only one do you pry out rocks and shit lodged into the intercooler that flew right past that chicken wire.

Speaking of airflow, how much air do you think can really flow through through your front mount intercooler with the oil cooler, AC condensor, radiator core, radiator fan shroud and radiator fans behind it?

Enough to keep the car cool under some hard running.

I can say my car feels MORE planted at 200+ with the side mounts than with the front mount which would indicate to me the air is going through the cores.

This is according to your 200MPH "assgauge" correct??? BTW when was the last time you even drove this mythical 200 mph car of yours anyway?

Have a nice day.

Joe, I am hoping to get away early friday morning to drive to Gingerman for some testing before I drive the car to Indianapolis for F-1.

I know it is short notice for you to make it there but we all know you usually talk a big game but never show up for a race or a challenge anyway.

BTW, give it a rest, there are no rocks getting into the intercooler cores.

Do you really think your single turbo can hang with a twin T-04 car at the roadcourse?

The threaded inserts I did for Paolo had pins that were a pain. What kind were those? It's good to see how well your install is going. Wasn't attaching the turbo mounting bolt under the passenger side header fun?

Are you driving your blue and white car or the car you purchased from the fabled customer of yours that refused to install that POS turbo system on because it wouldn't fit and then sold?

I just came back from the Montreal Gran Prix and will be in Indy this weekend too. Where are you parking and when/where will the car be? Will you park by the entrance with the ferrari's, Lambo's Aston martins and other Vipers? I am sitting in my usual spot, the northwest Vista. I want to see this car of yours there after you are done with Gingerman. I bet you don't make it.

I know it is short notice for you to make it there but we all know you usually talk a big game but never show up for a race or a challenge anyway.

When have I talked big game agreeing to show and then didn't?

BTW, give it a rest, there are no rocks getting into the intercooler cores.

Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. Rocks get into front mount intercoolers.

Do you really think your single turbo can hang with a twin T-04 car at the roadcourse? I think my car can beat the piss out of any log turbo'd, side intercooler mounted viper you have on a road course.

Then show up Friday and prove it. 20 lap session in the heat of the day should prove who has the reliable street car.

Paolo might even lift up his skir... err heat shield so you can admire his 'log'

What you installed are called keenserts I believe. What he is installing are heli-coil. Both do pretty much the same thing both with about the same amount of work to install. I would think the heli-coils are stronger though.
