value of a supercharged car

Whats the resale value of a supercharged car. How does one put a value on a Heffner 98 gts with 13k miles and 750rwhp. How long will a bottom end last with this kinda power and stock forged pistons?

Re: value of a supercharged car

Thats a good question. I would say at good condition 98 car is worth low 50's and high 40's in the worst case sceanario. Depending on the SC package, it cost the buyer $12-20K to have it put on. Then you add in the costs of the other parts, headers, exh, wheels etc. So you can ballpark the cost of all the add-ons at around $25K easily. The Heffner cars are tuned EXTENSIVELY and Ive never seen one lean out during the tuning process. I think I know the car you are talking about, its a BARGAIN IMO. You get a car thats well taken care of. The owner is freinds with Jason Heffner and you get a huge discount on the price of top quality workmanship in a dependable package. Im not sure which SC package he is using but if its making 749rhwp that isnt bad!

It's a Heffner car in the VCA Classifieds - I think it is a great deal. Low price, huge power and no waiting.

Steve,
Its a lot more than low 50's but then a lot less than buying all the parts separate. Its a good deal. If you have specific questions feel free to PM me or email me at SmokinV10@houston.rr.com

Re: value of a supercharged car

No way 98gts are worth low 50s stand alone. I can get 99 acr for 52k all day long and 02 gts with low miles for high 50s. Most 98s are around mid to high 40s at best. You dont believe me look for yourselves on ebay, and on the forum classifieds. Those that list in the 50s just dont sell. I think 61k is a good price, but no huge bargain, since the system is used and the car is 5 years old already

You should also make sure that Heffner did the car and didn't just sell the guy the parts and install tune it himself.

what is this supposed to mean? I would never think that you would build and sell your system for someone else to instal, please verify!
