Gas Mileage...

Hello Everyone..

I just had a question.. what kind of gas mileage do you guys get off of your GTS? I fill mine up and it goes about 110-125 miles and i have to fill her again... is that normal? I fill her with 76... just curious

Well, I average about 9 MPG, so pretty much the same as you do. I drive it like it's meant to be driven so it tends to suck alot of gas. It's the cost of enjoyment. I usually fill with 1/4 tank left and also only with 76 Premium.

All in how you drive it. If you just cruise around with it on the highway in 6th then you get great milage. Hammering around in it of course will drop it to less then half of what you get on highway cruises.

15-20...I just like cruising around in it...every now and then I punch it, but not too often. It's a fast car and I have nothing to prove.

Checked it only once out of curiosity while in a Viper caravan cruising between 95 and 110 in 6th gear.Got about 25mpg and so did the others.Other than that probably not much and who cares? GTS Bruce

You bought an 488ci, 10 cylinder VIPER, how can you seriously care about gas milage? I get less then 5mpg on the track.

I get about 150 with about 5 gallons left in the tank but the needle is on Zero. The gas gauges stink in these cars. If I drive really hard, I get about 125 with about 5 gallons left in the tank.

10-15 is about the average but it all depends on how one drives.

Thats is true, in a Viper you get more smiles to the miles

I get about 24-25mpg if I'm easy on it at about a 70-75mph cruise. I love these Greg Good heads
