Need a **STOCK** Viper for one day to race a fuckin' Vette tool...
I need to borrow a STOCK and I mean STOCK Gen II Viper for a couple of runs to wax a fucking C5 Z06 owning retard mouthin' off to me on the corvette forum. I ran my wife's bone stock '01 RT/10 with the roof off and clicked off an 11.71 so I have no issues repeating those times. Whatever the bet money is goes to the owner. I just want to see a stupid look on this fucktard's face when he loses. He's out of Maryland so anyone in MD area who's willing to to do this, please let me know. My wife's Viper is gone 'cause the bitch didn't drive it often enough
A stock 1196 GTS or stock 1997 rt10 will trap 116-120 mph in the 1/4 mile. 2 or 3 mags got 120 mph traps, with a few actual owners hitting 121 mph bone stock.
A c5z06 on the other hand is a 113-117 mph trapping car. A few mags got 116-117 mph with "gm HIGH TECH" getting a very magazine biased 118 mph trap...
So you'd need one of the best c5Z06 drivers out their who could pull a 117 mph trap bone stock just to mph what a poor driven Viper could do..
Eighter way you slice it 120 mph is faster than 117..
11.9-12.3 ( gen 2 viper mag times) is faster than 12.4-12.7 (C5z06 mag times)
Is the c5Z06 comparable in the 1/4 mile..YEP...
In reality at you average track with average drivers the c5z06 will be a 12.5 at 115 mph car while the gen 2 will be a 12.2 at 118 mph car..
So even with 60 less rwhp ( 350 rwhp for the 2002 c5Z06 vrs 410 rwhp for the gen 2 Viper) the gearing and weight of the Vette keeps it only around 3-4 mph slower than the Viper...
But on a roll race from 50-150 mph it's light out for the C5Z06..
The gen 2 viper has been clocked from 0-150 mph in 22 seconds. The C5Z06 has been clocked from 0-150 mph in 26 seconds..
Your talking bus lengths

Yeah, I'm still alive....barely. This little arogant peckerhead just rubbed me the wrong way and needs to be put in his place. I was looking through the classifieds last night for a Gen II just so I could race this guy

I had a 2002 z06 and ran a 12.4 at 117 but I did not launch hard. But a 11.71 should demolish him. My vette is sold and one day I will own a viper when I figure out how to make more mula. Make sure and get some vid.
There he is, Paul whats good my friend? This will be a good race indeed, for those that need to be filled in, here's Paul's run he spoke about above. StreetFire.net
In regards to these two cars, I have driven both. The C5 was an '04 Z06 and the Gen II Viper was a '97 GTS (both completely stock). In my opinion the cars were equal to 40 m.p.h. and then it goes to the Viper. Where I noticed the biggest difference was in the upper gears at freeway speeds.
It's amazing how many Vette owners put down the Viper saying: "It's uncomfortable, drives like shit, and burn your feet." Yeah, the Corvette was more comfortable and the Viper was hot in the interior, but the Viper was just way better to me and turned more heads. It's a no brainer to me when comparing the two.
Don't be surprised if this guy in the Vette has a couple of mods he is conveiniently forgetting about.

Where is Wanted off the VCA site I think he might be in Maryland and is also one helluva 1/4 mile guy
If Wanted is going to be driving the Viper then it is only fair that Ranger be driving the Z06. The Viper already has the edge and if you throw an exceptional driver on top of that the poor guys doesn't stand a chance.
