Are 345/30/18's better than 335/30/18's?
I need to buy some new rear tires. I've got HRE's and 335/30/18's on the rear Michelin Pilot Sports. Should I switch to 345/30/18's? The tire isn't warranted by tire rack, but whatever right?!?! Thanks!!

Someone want to explain what makes the 345's better than the 335's, besides being a tad bit wider?

Aesthetics. Ten millimeters makes a big difference. Just ask my wife.

Anyone have any pics showing the difference between the 335's and 345's?

Your rear gear plays a factor too, right?

I went to Tire Rack and did some research on the different tire sizes. Just as I suspected, there is no 345/30 R18 street tire, they only list 2, the BFG Drag Radial and the Michelin Sport Cup.
The diameter of the 335 is 25.9 inches. Revs per mile is 800.
The diameter of the 345 is 25.2 inches. Revs per mile is 794.
The difference of six tire revolutions per mile is negligible.

Wouldn't the 345 be taller? The same aspect ratio on a wider tread........
