Gumball was near $100grr last year. 07' will be a c-hair under $60grr
And that doesn't include any type of payout for the "winner" etc.
The Tuner Challenge looks very interesting though. 3 events, $10k entry, 7 figure payout. I question if 200 people will really throw down on it, but it would be fun.
The gumball is around £24,000/£25,000 uk pounds this year and so closer to almost $50,000 US (around 1.95 US dollars to a UK pound). But the gumball has some major expenses involved as cars are flown overseas etc

Getting the numbers is a hard thing for us to do, but we feel confident that it can be done.
Come on now, who would feel confident giving this guy $5k after reading through that website?
We are not asking for any money up front so whats your worry? Paolo is not an idiot and the type of guy to get involved with something he did not feel happy with. Try giving us a call or email us if you have any questions etc

If I paid with my Amex sure why not. If he tried to pull any shady maneuvers I'd just dispute it with them and have the $$ back in short order. I wouldn't hand the guy a stack of Franklins, but then again I wouldn't do that to pre-enter any race.
btw stuff like this goes over HUGE in the outlaw 10.5 world. $5k CASH entry fee due the night of the race, usually shoot for a 16 car field, winner take all at the end of the night. By the end of the night you have a heads up race for $80 large, 2nd place going home with nothing more than a bruised ego.
With as many people who swing their dicks around claiming to have the world record this or that, why not put them all heads up and see who really is the baddest motherfucker in town. Bring out the street legal "race cars", no faggety rules about requiring IRS and such, unlimited is just that. There are quite a few solid axle Supras being built, 1 S/A Viper completed and running.
Who's game? I think people would be willing to travel with potentially $50+ grr on the line.
I think the road course would be tough on the drag cars, don't you?
depends if you were smart enough to design an adaptable rear suspension that can be setup to corner without ripping the rear axle off... aka not using some summit racing special diagonal locating link.
yes the course will be hard on any drag specific cars, but thats the idea, to show the best all round vehicle, the most complete package from the tuner

It must just be me, but when I go to your website it screams amateurish to me. It's a very poorly designed website, spelling and grammatical errors everywhere on the site and this is the first thing people see regarding this event. If it was me putting on this event I would pay someone to develop a decent looking website for you and then hire an 8th grade english student to proofread your materials. You are obviously trying to jump on the "run" bandwagon, so at least compete with the others in a similar fashion. How about posting a list of sponsors that are supporting the event so that prospective entrants can see if they will conflict with their own personal sponsors? How about listing on the website the number of entries already received so to give the entrants an idea if it will be worth it to sign up? These are just the first few things I see that I would have included on that site.
If you get enough people to sign up, I will also sign up. But I would first want to make sure you are going to have a decent turnout before making plans to attend something that will take up a week of my time.

Nice to see some positive and constructive critism. We will make those changes. Its always good to have input and how you think we can better things.
