Shifter doesnīt center good from the left side...

The shifter on my 15K miles 99`GTS that I just bought doesnīt center good from the left side to the middle........from the right side it seems ok.

Iīm new on the Viper, so what should I look after to cure it?

Also, is a short shifter much of an improvement on the Viper?
If yes, then which is the best?

I have a Cīs shifter on the Supra and like it a lot......

B&M ripper short shifter works much better that the stock unit. Also you might need a new tranny mount.

I wasnīt happy with the B&M on my Supra....thatīs why I changed it again....

Why a new tranny mount??
What could that have to do with the shifter not centering from the left side?

Where is the spring located that makes the shifter centering?

I have a stock shifter out of my 97 GTS , I will sell it to you for $50 US plus shipping. Maybe it is the shifter that is screwed up.........

This is how you change it out:

I have the same problem with mine. There isn't much resistance to centering, but it feels like a weak spring.

This is worth YOU reading this

We developed and started selling the 1" and 2" lowering bolts 7 years ago. We sell them for $25 each. If you buy the SVS shifter you get both of the bolts for free.

SVS Shifter

I have 10 shifters sitting here I will sell for $275ea w/ both bolts S/H not included. Illinois tax (if all 10 are purchased in group buy).

Check here and scroll down to see what atro racing charges for the same bolts

He is such a tool. You would think the people buying from Atro would get a clue and search around to find the best prices on stuff, but instead they just keep feeding this tool their money. I don't see how the VCA lets him remain a supporting vendor over there. All his shit is either way over priced or he has copied someone else's product and trying to sell it as his own work.

Donīt worry, it wasnīt too difficoult to find out myself

Iīve allready looked at your homepage and read all about the shifter and adjustment bolts.

Sounds good.

Do I understand it right that the shifter has the centering springs inside, as "Big Carrot" mentioned firmer springs?

Yes the springs are much "firmer" than stock. We changed them 2 or 3 times along time ago when we were designing the shifter. We adjusted according to owners that told us what they liked better. I think it's the best all around spring that we could come with.

It does make it a little harder to get in reverse.

You would like the feel and positive shifting alot better than stock

Hmmm......sounds good!

Reverse is a bit harder on my Supra, too, but that ensures it to
be strong enough for the 2 - 3 shift

Iīll put it on my orderlist......

Thanks
