I think it is worth noting that Lee did an outstanding job piloting that beast. THese passes were made on an extremely conservative boost setting. I am anxious to see where this car will wind up. This is definitely just the beginning!
Thanks guys and thanks Gary for putting the video. A while back when Lee asked us about building this car I thought it would be a fun project and I was right. Just so nobody gets upset I want to say that this is a race car and does not have independent rear suspension. The engine and turbo system are pretty much what we put in all of our street TT cars. The engine is a 510 with a stock block and crank, JM Stryker heads, a more radical cam than what we would normally use, dry sump oiling system and employs our standard 76mm TT system with water to air intercoolers.
These videos are from our first day making full passes. These runs were at between 19 and 20 psi. We have the capability to run a little over 30 psi and we feel that 7.40's are what the car will be running before the end of the year. At this point we really need to get to the track with a chassis builder to get the four link dialed in and I will keep you all updated as progress unfolds.
Congrats to Jason, Lee and the high quality Heffner "wrenches" who have spent countless hours making this car what it is today. I can't wait to see what is next.
That car left the line perfectly dialed in!! That's some great driving!
Buuuuuuut then there goes Gary J. with the teaser at the end of the footage that has me trying to reach into the screen to see the rest of that run! Gary!! YOU Bastage!!
