Congrats guys. Jason, great job as usual, couldn't happen to a nicer guy than Lee. He has and his dad have been first class guys since we first went racing years ago.
Thanks guys. We ran this car at the U/S. Street Nationals this weekend in the "Heavy Street" class which is basically an anything goes must weigh over 350 class. We qualified 8th with a 7.95 with a best E.T. during eliminations of a 7.86. By the end of the weekend our tires started to go away and we were put out in the quarter final round. None the less it was pretty cool to see a Viper racing competitively with Camaros and Mustangs. The number one qualifier in our class was a 69 Camaro with a 636 inch engine sporting twin 91's and alchohol injection. This monster had three 160 lb injectors per cylinder! He qualified with a 7.31 and ran a 6.99 @ 200 during eliminations. We knew we would not likely win the class but Lee was very excited to just be in the game.
We hope to have this car back out later this week and try to go some 7.60's or 7.50's. I'll post an update later this week.
A six second pass is a tall order wit the Viper's short wheelbase but I wouldn't say anything is impossible. I think if we can knock about a thousand pounds out of Sal's car it might get close though.

Impossible......that aint no shit.... there is a tuner out there that got a 6 speed in the 7s....who would have thought!!
Kenny anybody would look short next to a man that is 6'6". Joe (Lee's dad) was so excited about Lee running a 7 sec pass in his first's outing he was going to Bear hug Jason....that is when I snapped the picture. Jason (fearing for his well beeing) looked up at Joe and said a hand shack would surfice.

wow, really impressive. great group effort. now go get into the 50's that will be just crazy. cant wait to see a video of that. great job guys.
Dude, there is a big difference in gaining .2 in the 1/4 from 7.80 to 7.60, then say 9.80 to 9.60. To drop over half a second, once already in the 7's, almost impossible (meaning within the same year of accomplishing the first)
