Awesome work guys and Congrats to Lee Saunders and Jason for an awesome build and some great passes!
Race car vs. street car.. Whatever.. Having another quick viper on the track helps push the envelope and makes the races more interesting.
Way to make it happen!

ps. Anyone who thinks running a number just takes a dyno number and a track day is delusional...

Awesome!!! Hey UGR, how far do you think the IRS can be pushed with an auto since the 6 speed limit has been reached?
Im sure if we tried hard enough we could get a 6 speed to go a little faster... full weight street car! As far as a IRS Auto street car????Stay tuned, I recently was motivated
Not to take away from any Viper owner or tuner who has made a lucky pass once or twice, this car was built to drag race. Original Team Viper member, Bill Adams built the chassis and did a first class of doing it. Bill sold the car to Mike Robbins with a big Hemi. Mike ran low 8's with it before selling the chassis to the Saunders. I know all this because I wanted to buy the car too! Heffner took his know how and with a well sorted out auto / converter package made an already good chassis - FAST! And with more chassis work and power added its going to get much quicker and faster.
So, there really is not going to be much of a comparison of a street Viper that ran 7.9 once or twice to a Viper race car that can go 7.70's consistently for 20 or more passes and likely few 7.30's on full kill blow up mode.
So just tell these guys congrats and dont degrade your own accomplishments by trying to compare. Thats my 2 cents.

It's always refreshing when the resident board authority on etiquette and decorum can step in and show the neandertals how to behave in a civil and respectful manner. Where else does one so erudite in these disciplines share these cultures and behaviors?

Here, here.... very well said.
Congratulations to Heffner, John, and TJ for building an outstanding race car and getting it done in a very timely fashion. Congratulations to Lee as well for doing an awesome job of piloting that beast. Look for this car to be running a lot of events this year.
Congrats to Heffner and Saunders for a fantastic car.
Congrats to John for his first ever well written and thought out post.
