What is a '99 Silver/blue ACR with 90k Miles worth?
I have bumped into someone who is selling his ACR. He rebuilt the motor about 15k miles ago, but he said that it will need a clutch, new set of tires and some cooling fan eletrical bugs worked out. The car was purchased from the original owner in Texas a couple years back, from a Clayton Boyd. If any of the Texas posse know this guy please let me know so I can ask him some questions.
I realize that this color is quite rare, and I was wondering what would be a reasonable offer.
As to what the car is worth....depending on the exterior condition, I'd say low 30's. Between clutch, tires and correcting the electrical issue, you are looking at putting $3 to $4K into it off the bat.
Originally missed the fact it was an ACR...that would add a few thousand, but you also will probably have to rebuild the shocks. Apparently it is recommended they get rebuilt every 2 to 3 years.
The biggest "X" factor is the condition. I have seen Vipers with 3,00 miles that have been destroyed. I have seen Vipers with 40,000 miles that look new.
That is a 99 RT/10 with 72K miles on the clock that sold for $32K. That car had new brakes, clutch etc. I think that is around what the ACR you are talking about should go for.
Low to mid $30's is what I will agree with as well. Very good looking color combo, but as said, the maintainance right off the bat will be a couple thousand dollars easy.
He is thinking $32k. I just don't know if I want to hassle with the potential issues with the car. If I decide against it, I will pass along the info in case anybody is looking for a track car.

great one, did you just compare a fucking rt10 to a GTS?
I agree, an RT is worth way more than a GTS and sooooooooooooo much cooler with the top down on the beach Shoot for $28K for the GTS
you fuckers... I hear yah. but answer me this one.... why is it they sell a hardtop which mimics the graceful lines of the gts if the later is not the better

No kidding. Jesus. Like a good friend of mine said once: An RT/10 is like a fat chick with a pretty face.
I think low 30's would be a steal for that car. Tires and a clutch are probably about $1300 or so if you do a stock clutch yourself. The cooling fan thing may be a little bit of work, but it can't be too complicated. I mean, it's just a fan.
