i was at the private track rental at atco with jeff and jason when he owned the car to see it hit a good number. it never happened that day due to halfshaft failure on the line but i did see a gorgeous white srt TT jason had sported from maryland run a few radial passes. great day. Did the car ever turn a good number. 8's i suppose.
It was a 71 car I believe when Jeff had it, then it became a 76 car when he sold it. Without the half shaft problems I think he could have run a pretty good # with that car.
Jeff nows your chance to get it back!
Some ATCO pics before it was sold off to AZ. The guy in the first pic, behind the hood was a hired mechanic for Jeff and really knew his Viper stuff.

A LITTLE faith, with ALOT of God's favor is all you need to succeed.
Looks like we did, I think I remember seeing you driving around in it. That was an over cast day but still a good trip and was good to see Jeff and everyone else up. too bad Paul couldn't make it out it out that day with his now sold TT Vette. Who knows... perhaps we even communicated face to face that day.

Thanks for the props but I am far from a hired mechanic. Just jeff's partner at our dealership and like to get my hands dirty :-) . Although I have gotten very good at changing halfshafts on the fly! Its too bad that we did not have any extras with us that day! I am not sure if the link below was from that day or another rental but it was always a blast going to the track with jeff! I think the pass below was the first pass out with the 71's and it was the 76's that never made it down the track because of the halfshafts.

That rig is still in his possession and has made a few runs back and forth between our dealerships in NY and NC. You may still be able to own it as he has been thinking of upgrading to another rig. :-)
Jeff's been a little out of the racing scene since his move to NC but is doing his best to enjoy a beautiful stock 96 blue/white gts.
He's on the fence for modifying it but I know he's got the itch to get back to the track!!

Ah ha so the man behind the hood shows himself. Thanks for clarifying as thats what I herd about you first. Nice to meet you those few track days. And yes you can change out half shafts on the fly for sure, as that car was snapping them like tooth picks. Not stock ones either, the unitrax 800's I believe. Yeah that 9.45 pass was on the smaller turbo's as well then, Jeff is a good driver and it would be nice to see him jump back in the game for sure. Hopefully the next person to get this car will do a few vids with it, instead of it just sitting looking pretty all day. Now I need to get in myself, hopefully soon.
