upgrades...

I've got another week or 2 of my car being down for the head gasket repair.. any significant upgrades you guys can suggest? The car is getting brand new heads, so i was considering getting some custom head work done.. Looking for some good bang for the buck mods and no, not ready to throw a S/C on it yet.
For those of you who don't know, it is a Gen I car

Or you can finally add a blower so Mazon will be right from now on

and have the intake ported to match the heads. Probably not much gain, but easy to do and nows a good time to do it

Check the rod bearings....in fact, a new set is dirt cheap and easy to do. How many miles ? Perfect time to do the rings too.

You mean he DOESN'T have a blower already

Heads and cam are a great upgrade on the Gen I. Mine is really (really!) loud w/ headers and comp coupe exhaust, but it is like a totally different car. It makes almost 100HP more than it did before heads/cam/exhaust.
