i was wondering if anyone knew? i'd keep it pretty much fairly stock and would be for mainly driving around town and what not... is there any small problems or any parts i'd have to replace frequently?
Sure it can be done.Remember that it will attract a LOT of attention some of it unwanted.I'd keep a cover on it.Better to get a beater to beat around town or the city.My daily is a 98 pu truck.A Viper is an open road car.I avoid driving it in any cities and towns if possible because I just don't enjoy it. GTS Bruce
i use mine more than most to go to work i think. its easy to do but it DOES attract more than its share of attention and my office is in an area i dont want the attention so i dont do it often anymore.
yeah i got a '90 hyundia lol, great gas mileage and gets the jobs done. and on a side not i have a 01' lexus is300 for sale if anyone is interested. i'm in the san francisco area
ha nice, that's pretty sick. i'm used to a hard clutch, the 03'/'04 cobra clutches are pretty hard to push in, i'm used to it though
Those clutched are not bad....what are you talking about??? I used to have one and its a really smooth clutch. Unlike my on/off spec stg3+. I have a acura rsx-s for daily driving (feather clutch). Great gas milage and nice enough to take out work colleges or customers to lunch.
well it's not bad for me, but i remember when i first stepped in one it didn't feel like your average clutch, and everyone that pushes the clutch in is like "whoa this is hard".
its a fine dd...it will get a little hot in the summer, especially if you are not tinted. i normally did not have many passengers so i blocked off all the ac outlets on the pass side to direct all the air to the driver.
i firmly believe that your drive to and from work should be the most enjoyable part of my day. rain or shine, I drive something that puts a smile on my face.
On any given day, there are about 300 or so cars in my work's huge parking lot. Even with this many cars, the lot is only half full, with everyone parking as close to the entrance as possible. The handful of times I brought my gts to work (over the last 3 years,) I'd park it in the very back corner just to stay away from all other cars. Every time I did this, others would intentionally go way out of their way to park on either side of me; sometimes 2 or 3 on either side! They never park there any other time (nobody does.) I don't know if they think it makes their pieces of shit look better, or if they do it intentionally to piss me off and/or just out of jealousy. I don't even know whos cars they were. Along with other unwanted attention (especially when I can't even see the car for 8 hours,) I don't drive it to work at all anymore. The people you work with every day and you get along great with at work, can be total assholes in reality. I watched another employee hit a fellow employees car with his piece of shit van when he was leaving. He came out of the parking spot an cut it too soon, taking out her front fender and bumper. The first thing he did was get out of the car and look at the damage, then he looked around. The thought no one was watching, and he started to leave, until he saw me watchiing the incident. Then he got back out and pretended he was just moving his van out of the way, and tried to seem concerned over who car it was. I've also seen people actually hit other cars in the lot, then move to another spot far away. I'm sure they didn't move just for the hell of it either. Management was tipped off by numerous witnesses on those assholes. These are people that talk to you every day that are your fellow co-workers; some that you get along great with! At this point, I wouldn't even put it past someone to key such a car as a viper. When I got it 3 years ago, and co-workers found out, some stopped talking to me all together! True Colors, man! Jealousy; one of the 7 deadly sins according my religion! IDIOTS!

Well there's always something isn't there..I had one guy here stop talking to me because I am (evidently) older than he is.. Maybe his religion has an age clause.
My clutch seems to wear the leg out too with alot of city driving....I think I'm going to try one of Roe's clutch pedal levers for $20 that reduces the overall pedal travel and raises the pedal even with the other 2 pedals...anyone try one, and if so, how do you like it?
I've never had a problem with anyone messing with my Viper at work, but I know for sure that someone keyed another guys Yellow GTS there. From what I was told it was all about jellousy.
Pretty sad consider that I work for Daimler Chrysler.
I love driving my GTS, but I feel safer driving my truck to work. (2000 Dakota R/T)

That clarifies better what I was talking about. When I drive mine it's mostly city driving. and here in MIA it's not a walk in the park.
