A local garage owner entered one in the One Lap and did very well with it (5th overall I think), even though he was underpowered compared to a lot of the field.
Someone who has donated a few thousand $$$$ will come up and post the idea on their own and get all the credit anyway. It happens all the time.

What does one get if they donate???? I don't see a REAL reason to donate. Will I get a free Viper alley T-shirt...no. Will I get a cool Viper alley Mug...no. Oh wait...I know it gets me a cool little avatar and "sudo respect" on the net. Yea...that's worth dropping $100 bucks on. I'd rather buy used MGW Shift knob and take my wife out for dinner in the viper.

In my house, I make the money, my wife stays home (although she is in the process of getting her real estate license because it is something she is interested in), and I didn't have to ask her for permission or money before buying my Viper. Not so in the Tanked household....
So donate $80 to the Alley, spend the other $20 on a T-shirt and pretend that you got it for free with your donation.
I don't want or need T-shirts with a website plastered all over it. In fact the only piece of Viper emblazoned clothing I have is a really nice baseball cap given to me by my friend Mary as a thank you for helping her retrieve her Viper after Hurricane Katrina (although truth be told, TVC was the individual truly going above and beyond as he drove all the way in just to help a friend in need). I leave the "officially licensed" look to the Ferrari fags and Corvette cunts. But, if I did want it, I'd just go out and buy it. Support the website because it is a great source of information and entertainment (and, in your case, a provider of the ridicule you seem to crave). Don't support it because it comes with a free T-shirt.
MP, can you maybe write a script that makes anyone who is not a supporter after 1,000 posts a "Broke Dick Non-Supporting Bitch" instead of a "Senior Member" or something of the ilk?
I became a supporter here even before I bought my Viper.
