Just talked to the guy. Seems cool enough. Bone Stock; 11K miles; 2 owner car. Clean Carfax. He said there's a small scratch on one side from his dog's paw when it jumped up on the car - Waiting on pics to see that and the rest of the car. $52,500 is his bottom.
He's in silver spring, MD which is very close to Bryon Muller (a really good viper mechanic in the area). Get in touch with him and have it checked out, search for his name on the morgue. The level of detail he will go through is amazing.
If it checks out to be mint, then the price may be OK. Otherwise I think it is high, but what do I know.
Should be around $50K for that one. There are a couple of Sapphire ACR's on Autotrader for $51-$53K with about the same mileage. Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com

Yep, I've been looking. Thanks.
Thing is, if it turns out to be a nice car, and I'm already dropping $50K, is another two grand worth passing on it and hopefully (more like eventually) finding another as nice?
Guess it's my money and my decision?
I'd always appreciate your opinions and how you would approach a situation like this.
Have it checked out by someone who really knows. As I said before, you have a person in the area that really knows their shit and can check the car out.
That sounds like a good loking car at a fair price. You probably already know it's a good year for ABS and a bad year for a car to be super/turbo charged due to cast pistons. Get it checked, plus car fax, plus Chrysler service history.

If it really is that good, then go for it.
Good Advice which I will attempt to take advantage of, though I'm not a member over there, and really don't plan to join. I haven't checked in a while, but IIRC, it's not as easy to sign up on that site as it is others, and you can't use the search function unless you're a member. I will have a look though. Thanks.
i paid 44k for my 01 RT/10 sapphire blue back in october plus 3k for a factory warranty so it was 47k total and the car was mint..... until that christmas eve night...

From what I can tell in my limited experience, it 'seems as though' the GTS cars are selling for a bit more than the RT/10's.
How many miles were on your RT when you purchased?
**Saw those pics the other day. Sorry to see it but it's good you're OK.
