Redsled you should have accurate information before posting in the public. First you do not know what I paid for the car, second you do not know transportation costs, insurance costs, cost to carry the vehicle in inventory called interest, cost to fix any blemishes or problems that may be with the car and oops that's right everyone who is in business should not enjoy the American dream. I am not quote a "car salesman" I would state it as a enthusiast of a particular vehicle the Dodge Viper that is passionate about what they do! As a principal I would think you would understand that it costs money to run a business, pay overhead, etc. So get your facts straight before you start throwing names out a "car salesman" ouch that hurt. I guess having 14 Vipers and other exotics labels me as "car salesman" than come on over and kick the tires. I guess if you wanted to buy the car and are pissed that I bought it first. You had the same opportunity to purchase the car as I. I sleep great thanks for asking.
i would sleep great at night with 14 vipers too. But if i bet you would sleep even better if you got rid of all those cars and built up that piece of your american dream, i whole heartedly agree with everything you wrote.
You've got to be kidding me. How can you give Bernie shit for selling a Viper and what he charges for it or what he paid for it?
Bernie explained the deal a bit. There's a lot more to it.
I don't know the facts either, but let's say it was bought for $47.5k, transported for $1500, cleaned up well, inspected, any problems corrected $1000, overhead per vehicle $1000. Then Bernie asks $56k, but yet sells it for $53.5K.
Hell, I've made more than that on cars I've bought and sold.
Fact is Bernie sells very nice cars. Makes his customers very happy and will treat them like family when doing business with them.
He also helped out Gerald when he purchased the car from him. Gerald wanted out, needed the cash, and Bernie bought it.
Bad Reply to question his business, or try to make him look bad!
I must have hit a cord on this one. You say that I don't know what you paid for the car. Are you implying that you paid more than what the advertised price was on the VCA post? Don't even hide behind the "American Dream" crap as everyone is trying to grab that. I guess the CEO and CFO of Enron could use that line as well. BTW-I'm not upset for not buying the car before you as I have a 2k mile 96 GTS sitting in the garage so why would I want another one?
Good luck with the sale.

that sounds like the weakest attempt at an apology i have ever heard. anyways, casey was spot on with the breakdown he posted.

Wasn't an apology. I guess you and casey are the only ones who pay MSRP Sticker price when buying new cars. If you do, then I can see where you are coming from. If not, well ..........

#1 we are not talking about a new car here.
#2 I have paid sticker before for a new car before and was happy to not pay a premium others were knocked with.
#3 what do you see as being wrong with a guy making a profit on a car you had no intention on buying.
#4 what regarding Casey's breakdown do you find incorrect. I suppose BJ paid 20k for the viper, had it towed halfway across the US for free, advertised in the free media, and is now selling it for 2.5 times his investment. Maybe the smart thing to do is pay over asking for the cars, .25 mile transportation fees 10% in advertising and sale price of roughly a 15% loss. Do yourself a favor, stay out of the business sector, it isnt the smartest choice for you.
Redsled that's exactly why I do not post on this site because of individuals like yourself. Good for you that you have a 2k mile 96 in your garage and it's worth what 47.5? I am not posting following the American Dream just doing somethig that I enjoy. As far as Evil's "Hebrew Pricing" comment about my religion you can go Fuck yourself. Play your little post wars I don't need the aggrevation from you RedSled or anyone else. Beleive me when I say that I am not trying to do you or anyone else a favor. I am treating people fairly, I take it if you bought a car for 2 dollars and sold it for 4 dollars that's called being a Capitalistic pig RIGHT! Happy Holidays. Redsled I hope you feel better after venting and trying to make me feel like I doing something or someone an in justice. This is the second time I have purchased a car from someone wired money without seeing the car and then when I try and resell the car, Oh by the way as a "used car salesman" I get shit for it. I guess I have learned my lesson!
