Went to take the viper out for a little drive today and when I back out of the garage there is a greenish puddle. It appears to be dripping down under the center of the car on line with the center of the wheels. Could this be a bad hose or something else? Is it something I could take care of myself or should I take it in to my vipertech. This sucks
Run it till it gets hot and pressurizes the cooling system all the way. Wait for a couple drips on the ground. Shut it off and jack up the front. My guess is the lower radiator hose where it attaches to the water pump. I had a slow drip from this location just recently. My hoses are all good. I figured it was just that the stock spring clamp had lost it's tension. I paid $17 for a new stupid clamp from the dealer. I installed it, and it still dripped slowly when hot! Those stock squeeze clamps are garbage. I threw it out and put a regular band clamp on it from Autozone. No more leak! I then replaced the stock clamps on the other 3 radiator hose ends, so all 4 are band clamped. No more problems! Save your money with a viper tech, you should be able to figure this one out just by getting underneath it after hot! Let us know how it turns out!

Chipster....been there, done that. AFTER I bought a new Ron Davis radiator and Roe's silicone hoses....I bought one of those cooling system pumps (I know....cart....horse....)
Anyway....I had a clamp that was loose.
I went ahead and installed the Ron Davis and hoses....since I was already in the area.
About a month later...same thing (but on the lower hose). THIS time....I could see it, and I had a little more experience troubleshooting.
I got under there and tried to look around but it appears to be leaking from directly under a little triangular piece of undercarriage and its hard to see around that. I guess i'm gonna have to take it in. I dont have jackstands, so with only jacking up one corner of the car its still hard to get under there and check. Thanks for the advice though guys. I'm sure its probably the clamps, becuase its a slow leak. Luckily its cold here so i'm not as sad
Where are you (I wish people would put that where we can see it)? Someone nearby has a lift. The thought of taking it in...even when it isn't MINE....scares me.
UNLESS.......you happen to be like me when it comes to my other cars. I want NOTHING to do with them. I like them new, under warrantee and NOT my problem!
I'm in Virginia. Yeah, it would be nice if there were locations under peoples avatars. I like my viper tech and I assume its not going to be expensive.
That's where it would drip off of; on the right reinforement triangle on the frame. Clue your viper tech in when you bring him the car; I'm certain it's the lower radiator hose clamp at the water pump. Good luck!
There are other common issues that could cause this. 1. Puncture in overflow tank from screw directly below it. Check to see of tank is empty 2. Loss of tight connection on hose to tube to hose to tube to hose connection between surrogate radiator tank and overflow tank. Check to see if overflow tank is completely full. If the system draws air in during cool down at one of those connections it will eventually push more and more coolant out at startup eventually overflowing the tank. Easy fix is to clamp the connections. 3. Bad Radiator cap.
