How do you buy a viper

I have been researching for a while. We all know that the actual value of the vipers and the blue book are VERY different. When I go to a bank they say a 50,000 car is worth 23,000. So unless you can pay cash, how are you guys financing this?

its more of the 98-00 I have been looking at. They are listed between 25-30. Which is way off. The bank also takes the lowest figure in the range, which there is often a 20k dollar difference

I got my 97 financed for $40k (i put down some cash too) and i'm sure I could have gotten more but thats all I asked for. This was last december. I guess it depends on your bank, might want to try another place.

Try Capital One. They appear to qualify you based on an amount you are requesting combined with what they are willing to lend you regardless of the car you want to purchase or its value.

I did mine with Capital One as well. They are best for car loans.

You could try buying through a reputable dealer. Often dealers are willing to finance if you put 10% down, and they of course know the value of the car.

I just ran my 2000 RT/10 (42,000 miles) through KBB and it came up with a value of $40,000. Not sure where you're looking, but that's about average for a Viper like mine, with as many miles on it as I have.

I agree with this to an extent as well...IMO it's better to pay cash for your daily drivers than the toys...
