Just a thought, but I am not sure if the Octane rating system used in the UK is ther same as used here in the States. Double check that, before you have Sean set up a 97 octane card.
yes the are different, Sean would know this as he's supplied a few cards for the S/C 's over here
If you go for one i'm sure Carl in Blackpool will help, he got his running pretty sweet, problem free before ripping it all out and then going TT with AEM
yes Carl is 'GTS' he's very knowledgeable, having built cosworth engines for a number of years
Getting the VEC2 setup correctly will be the hardest problem for you to overcome, its quite hard to dial in on the open road I've tried that helping out another UK owner
maybe a trip over to Sweden to Autorotor where the VEC2 is produced, is an option if your really desperate

....not sure what you mean by hard to dial in? 40-100 in 3rd gear and back down to legal speed takes less than 10 seconds per log. Of course you do need the WB sensor to do this. I wouldn't be without one--and the AF meter in the car.
SWEDEN!!!!!! im sorry? A baking powder? lol
thats a bit too desperate mate i know a local tuner with a wideband.
Or....maybe i could use a different management system that could be used locally like an AEM? Theres a few dyno guys in glasgow that can map them
