car alarm off?

how do i turn the viper car alarm off? My battery died, and i lost my key fob. So i put a charger on the battery and go to start up my viper today and the alarm is going insane. I then remember wonderful, i lost my key fob for the alarm (whcih the manual says i need to turn the alarm off). We are having a few nice days of weather and I'd really really like to go for a drive, but right now... the viper is spazing out with lights and horns... Is there another method of disarming the alarm or taking out a fuse (if so where?).

Thanks!

You might want to try the mOrg. It's kind of quiet around here today.

Oh, and you might want to ID which gen you have.

I'll take a shot at this!Check for a blown fuse #7(check all fuses)with key in the on possession.Turn key off and replace the 20amp fuse with a 25amp that the manual says it should have. These modules tend to go bad also!Hope this helps!

THANKS GRCFORCE327

Thanks i'm fkcn going crazy with this problem. Its insane to me to build a car that prevents the owner from using it without the remote. I know there has to be a way around the alarm system through the fuses. Next newbie question.... where is the fuse box? The battery terminals where like looking for Waldo... then I finally locate them and who knows where the battery is hidden. So, i hope the fuses are less dificult to find. BTW thanks for the assistance, I'll update you to let you know if it helps (if i can find the fuses).

I would suggest buying a manual in the near future!Fuse box is on the passenger side, under the dash on the left(black rectangular cover)!

I'll try to do this later tonight. I have a manual, and I guess the answer as to the fuses location would be in it, i guess i hadnt thought of looking there :P ! Again thanks for taking your time to respond to my question, i really hope this works.

i was just thinking how would the fuse have gone bad if the car was just sitting for the past 3 months? the battery is dead and no one has driven the car since. i dont want to re-arm the alarm, i want to turn it off and start my car. Is there a fuse directly tied into the alarm system that can be removed?

not helpful enough

also i pulled the number 7 fuse today. NO dice, just kept the horn and lights from flashing, however it was still stuck in alarm set mode. It actually tried to start, then would die the second the engine turned over. I dont remeber it even attempting to start before. Also i have no idea where the key fob is, any clue what i should do next? Seems insane to me to have some nice car like this now reduced to a POS because of its own alarm system. Got to be a way around this without calling a tow truck and hauling it to a dealer!

Well, since you used the schematics in the manual and checked "EVERYTHING",it's time to buy and reprogram a new FOB!Good Luck!
