Go Cart Private Track Rental (Need Opinions)...
We just spoke with the go cart track people. Every year, we have a blast at the go cart track. Problem is, there are so many kids there early in the night, we have to wait until the last hour (11PM) for it to slow down enough for us to have at it. They said they generally do not rent the track during peak hours, but during nonpeak, they get 150 bucks an hour.
The question is, should we just go pay for our tickets and wait in line like we have before, or with all of the big ballers (John H) talking shit, do you want me to see what it's going to cost to rent that sucker out for a couple of hours. Even if it were 300 an hour, if we have ten guys, that's only $60 per. What do THE PEOPLE THAT PLAN TO BE PAYING AT THE CART TRACK think?

Last year was hard with all the little kids out there. If we rent the track, are we guaranteed no to get thrown out?

BTW, for the guys that haven't been keeping up, the go cart track rental is one of the side activities going on during the Supercar Drag Race Event in Sarasota Florida, December 8-10, 2006. Sign up now.

I'd be in for renting the track to keep it to ourselves. I have a couple others that will be attending as well that would do this also.

I can't think of one time that we have acted civilized.

Rent it out. A couple of quick reasons
1. You have to wait in line with the kiddies and can't have as much fun on the track.
2. You have to deal with the parents of some of those kids yelling at you to slow down...you are being a bad example to my children...yada yada yada
Pay the extra cash and have some real fun...

Since Ward is the local guy, I think he should stop by and rough up the owner. Tell him how it's going to be Ward.

Perhaps a free ride in a high HP viper will convince the owner for sure...

I am still waiting on Ward to go tell the owner how it's going to be. Seriously, I would be willing to pay up to $100 if we can have the track for a few hours. Anyone else willing to chip in? Let's give Ward some ammo to go to the people with, shall we?

Sat's track event is rumored to be 2p-9p. If this is the case, what time can we rent the go-cart track?

If that's true, there is no good time to do it. It sucks that we have to race Saturday night instead of morning like usual.
