Kenny's Viper Returned to Larry Macedo to Fix Problems
Good news to share!
Hey Kenny,
Yes, I hope to have the car to you sometime in the month of November, Sir. I'll drive the car more tomorrow and it seems to be working properly now. Thank you, Kenny!
Kenny,
Before the car is sent back to you, I would have someone you trust swing by to take it for a test drive. After going through all of this, that would be a no brainer. Good luck and let me know if I can help.

Done end of November, just in time for Bradenton! Don't even think about bringing it North until after the race. That car must be downright perfect by now and you need to go have some fun with it.

In reality the best thing is for him to fly down and drive the car to make sure he is happy with it. I have a feeling Kenny is expecting "cream-puff" driveablility, which isn't likely to happen. You can't install a high lift cam and expect it.

If I were asked to test drive the car, I would suction cup a couple of cameras to the windows and report my findings here. This has become a public affair. It would only be fair to both Kenny and Larry to report the findings right here. If the car drives nicely, I would love to come on here and clear Larry. If the thing is sputtering all over the place, I will come on here and tell it like it is. At the end of the day, I have lived with highly modified, high horsepower vipers as much or more than anyone here. In a way, this probably makes my opinion more relevant than Kenny's when it comes to what should be expected from a drivability standpoint regarding a modified viper.

This is the best advice considering everyone's driving style is different. A highly modded Roe car is not going to drive the same as an AEM equipped twin turbo or nitrous car.
Lets just hope it all gets resolved and all parities are satisfied soon.
Kenny,
I know you want your GTS home ASAP but as you well know...it's getting cold early here ( high 20's at night this week) and you won't be able to really get a chance to "air it out" until Spring.
It's your car and your decision but...
I really would suggest flying down to FL, drive it around a bit, and running it a few times at the December event.
Plus, I assume Larry will be there supporting other customers cars so if anything is not "just right" for you, he can solve it before it gets back up to our neck of the woods.
If that doesn't sit well with you, then let someone trustworthy like Gary drive it before it is shipped up.
Either way, I think one of the above will ultimately benefit BOTH parties involved.

That's an incredible offer! I would think that the opinion of someone with your reputation in the community, plus a good understanding of what these cars should and shouldn't drive like at different horsepower levels would be very valuable to someone in Kenny's position. It's really not much different than buying a car from out of state. You'd want someone else who knows what they're doing to go over it with a fine tooth comb before you bought it.
I think that's a great idea.
I think we all want to see Kenny get the car he's been hoping for.
Everyone and anyone are welcome to drive Kenny's car. Since Kenny doesn't mind, feel free to line up and drive it back to back while utilizing the VEC2. Actually, Gary Almond will be here soon to drop off a car, so maybe he can drive it? Hell, John Canal lives right here, he can drive it today and report his findings. Thanks to everyone for their love and support!
