Has Tuner X Given Up On Real Qtr. Mile Performance?
Does Anyone Know If Tuner X Is Still A Viable Tuner For Real Performance In The Qtr. Mile Or Are They Strictly Doing High Horsepower Dyno Pulls ????????Please Advise Thanx!:d
actually one of their TT bolt on customers with an SRTC came out and ran 11.2 @ 136 mph at the track yesterday on street tires. its obviously not a heavy hitter drag car but the guy who owned it drove it well.
I would say that the "Dyno Queens" from "Tunner X" are customers that just street race or choose to just have a high power car to say they have it. I believe it is more a matter of the customers choice to not take them to the track.
I am the one John was referring to earlier in the post, and for my first time out and only having the car done for two days I think I have seen great results. It was on low boost, roughly 7 lbs. I believe it will go faster even on the street tires, but I am still getting use to the new combination.
I understand that even posting something in response may be hazardous to my future on this board, but I am a true enthusiasts just like the rest of you. I have been reading, and learning a lot from this board and hope to not put a flame suit to too much of a test.
I would hope that some of these big number cars show up in December. I think they are being under appreciated if they are not being run for what they were built for.
F8L,
Welcome. Great to see you taking the car to the track. That puts you way ahead of most in my book. You should try to make it to Bradenton. It will be a blast.

I drove by your drag strip today , the new section looks good. When will the MX track be open? It looks like a well designed layout with good dirt.

Good mph for only 7 lbs. Is it a built motor?, how much power does it make on low boost?
Pics?
Stock motor, stock everything for that matter. I just got the car and thought of all the mods to do, decided to get the best one out of the way first. I have the split second ( I know AEM is better, but I'm on a budget) and I did upgrade the fuel system to an external pump. I have two settings, spring and +1.5 lbs. due to the stock lower end. The spring makes 709 RWHP heat soaked and 722 RWHP cold. The +1.5 lbs. made 743 RWHP somewhere in between cold and heat soaked.
I will do a built motor, but I am going to get different rims and a moton suspension first. Gotta have the poser mods you know!
