Claiming back US horses on a Euro GTS?

Hey guys,

my euro GTS has a borla exhaust system with im assuming high flow cats, filters and smooth tubes.

I want to make sure im getting at the very least, stock US performance figures i.e around 450bhp 490 lbs.

I have been advised to look at getting a US spec ecu. Will i be able to plug this straight into my euro car without any issues?

Also im planning on removing the cats completely to free up more power. Do any tuners manufacture these?

Any other suggestions? Cheers guys

I just pulled a Mopar performance PCM (made by Motorola) out of my 99 to go back to stock. I will be putting it up for sale for $350 if you're interested. Works perfect, just took mine back to stock.

How easy is it to fit these things? is it setup to run any particular settings or tune?

I wouldn’t have thought a US ECU would be the best answer as you already have mods such as the k&n’s high flows and borla that will already be putting the map in a US ECU out of line with what you need. I think the US guys also have different grades of fuels which was probably one of the reasons (along with the intake and exhaust restrictions) for the EU ECU MAP.

As it was I made 460 bhp with filters, corsa and restrictor delete still with the EU ECU so most of the loss in the EU vipers comes from them bunging up the air flow through the engine rather than the fueling.
