Chad, are there any special preparations when painting carbon fiber? Does it have the same issues as fiberglass?

Ian, it depends on how the CF was made. Usually CF with lots of resin (not that strong, heavy "bling bling CF") is easier to paint.
If the CF is the "good stuff" that is light, strong and of exact tolerences...it will be harder to paint and will require more prep.
Yep...Heffner is everywhere on the net today...
