After installing the rest of the parts I got from RSI (Thanks to Jason), and I got my AEM tunned (Thanks to Justin), I went to the track to try to break my PB of 11.3
My first run was bad because the car didn't hook off the launch (1.8 60') but the run wasn't a complete disaster because I still ran an 11.4 against a Ford GT with Ford Racing headers and exhaust (that thing was loud :smirk: ) but he couldn't keep up with me.
On my second run I lost against a Nissan Skyline with 730 RWHP (his numbers huge turbo ) but the car hooked well and here were our times:
Great Driving! Nice 60' time. My best todate is only a 1.82 on stockers.
Great job taking out the GT. It looks like you tree'd the skyline but he got you in the top end. bummer. If that skyline had 730rwhp...he should have a much higher speed...or he couldn't drive for shit.
What's up next for your mods. I know your looking for more power. You can get 550rwhp on 488cid without much issue. You just need a large enough cam. 600rwhp can be had on a 510 once again....with a "good" head and cam package(At least that's what Jason tells me....but I'm sure he knows better than me).
Main Mods:
Belanger Headers
B&B Headers Back Exhaust
Muffler Delete

Upgraded Pulley
AEM (Justin tuned)
Brimbo 4 wheel Big Brakes
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
Aluminum Flywheel
Ron Davis Radiator

BFG DR
With the mods you have. I would think you should have closer to 550rwhp. That is almost the same setup as most tuners 650 package (or about 550rwhp) You can take a look at RSI and Heffner'swebsites.
As for the 650 package, or 550 RWHP I should be getting... I had 548 RWHP but when I went to the 3.54 ratio I lost some on the dyno plus the outside temp when I dynoed the car was aroung 110 degrees.
Nice run!!!! You got 10s in that set-up coming to you for sure. As for that SKYLINE and his traps being so low. Either he was spinning everwhere or he had the boost turned down. 730rwhp SKYLINES are at the high 130 to low 140's. The looks from his 60ft and limited to RWD he was on street tires I presume.
the temp is compensated for by the correction factor, therefore, hp is not affected. The 3.55 gears will only reduce the hp 5-10.
I think the question several people have asked refers to your trap speed, the mph seems a bit low for your mods. The trap speed is an accurate indicator of hp. Your car should put down a consistent 525-540 hp, if the heads were done right and the cam selected correctly.

I've been looking at trap speeds of various 10.9/11.0 non-Viper cars lately, and many of them are in the 125-130mph range.
The DLM's website has an online calculator that says 3500lbs doing 11.07 is 510hp. 3700lbs works out to 540hp.
MPH can vary with when the driver shuts off too.. If he doesn' t drive it out the back door the MPH will be low.
Oops, DLM's calculator also says 125mph in a 3700lb car works out to 565hp.
Hey everyone, give JRW his props for Pete's sake.

I don't think anyone is being negative, those are nice times and a congratulations is due, it was just that the mph looked low for the ET. With a 1.5 sixty the car is in the ten's and not many NA vipers get there.
I don't believe most tracks use the two light system for mph, the mph is nowpicked up right at the finish - once again most, not all.
congrats 10s is just around the corner.... btw what type of Skyline were you running (GTS or GTR)? and he def. did not know how to handle that thing if you outlaunched him unless he was a GTS and his MPH is kinda weak for 730RWHP? any vid or pics
