Here are some things I never hear anyone doing in a engine build. If I had the cash and was doing my build now, these are some of the things I’d want done. I did leave out things like JM heads, fuel system and the typical things people do. Again, these are things I don’t hear anyone doing mostly engine prep.

Get the crank work done right. knife edge, lightened, micro polished and cryo treated. If you can get a custom billet one with the works...all the better.

Get the coatings done: Valves, CC camber, exhaust and intake ports, rod and main bearings, headers (inside and out), piston (tops and side skirts)
It will help the motor live longer and take more abuse. Swain Technology for engine piston coatings, race engine coatings, ceramic header coating, carbide metal coatings, Teflon coating spray, thermal spray plasma coating, metalizing closures, spray welding

Piston cooler system. I don't know why nobody has done it yet. But it would be nice. I bet it would require some custom pistons. Again…all in the name of making the engine last longer.

I would like to see someone run 8.5:1 or 8:1 pistons. Again...I haven't heard of anyone doing it...but it could have been done already. Many turbo systems are running stock compression. Witch isn’t a bad thing…but a little lower would be better.

Sodium filled Ti exhaust valves ....Ti intake valves.

Timing gear set. Chains can break...and do.

Polish the cooling passages in the block and head. After all...coolant flow is important.

2" primary tubes on the turbo headers. 1 3/5 or 1 5/8 I don’t think is large enough for 2000+bhp

Pre-Turbo Water Injection.

If anyone else has stuff you’d like to see in an engine build. Post it here. We can use this as a “WISH LIST” I just want to see Vipers stay “King of the Hill”

Tanked, buddy, aside from the timing gears (which suck, are noisy, heavy, etc.... belt drive would be nice though) everything you have mentioned is old news.

Carl, Good luck with the build. I wish for you the best. I'm sure you'll love it when you get it done. Even 15psi of boost on a viper would make for one fun ride! Good luck man. It's killer that your building your dream. If you feel I'm starting push YOUR thread in a direction away from your build. Please let me know. I don't want to do something like that. My intent was to give you ideas of what you could do to make it last longer and run stronger. Again....good luck.

Paolo, buddy, aside from lower compression pistons (nobody will admit the ratio they run)

Who has cryo treated a crank? I personally had a stock set of SRT rotors done. But I haven't installed them on the car yet.

Who uses PRE-TURBO water injection? Who uses a Water cooling system on a intercooler. NOBODY ON A VIPER

Who has used coatings on anything other than a header?

Who is currently using a piston cooling system (ala srt-4 is a good example)

Who is running a Ti sodium filled exhaust valves?

NOBODY currently makes a 2" header for the viper....I know I looked. It would have to be custom made and the est I got was about $2,500

Paolo in some car groups your right. Most of this IS old news. Supras run most of this. Hell even a freaking SRT-4 can be had stock with piston cooler and water sprayer for the intercooler. A Stock C6Z06 uses the Ti sodium valves. You can find 2" primary header for a SBC all day long. All of this has been proven in "other" car groups. But I don't know of a single person who has applied all of this to a Viper TT system....unless your not telling us something Paolo.

If anyone has used this "yestertech" in a viper. I would LOVE to hear about it.
