Brand new S&B air filters $65

For Gen2's..Installed once but never even started the car with them in. . I decided to use K&Ns instead

Cost me $75 from Roe plus the $13 shipping.. almost $90

$65 plus minimal shipping charges from MI should amount to a nice savings for someone.

Maybe a dumb question, but WHY would you use K&N's as opposed to the S&B's?
I find that the S&B's fit better and appear to be a better quality filter period.

I got tired of replacing my clips on my Gen 1 and on my Gen 2. Spoke with someone at K&N and they just blew me off saying that there is NO issue with the fittment of their filters.
I told them check out the VCA website and you'll see. They told me not to beleive everything I read on the net. Idiot! I just called him to complain about the issues I had with their filters and my cars. I guess I must have been imagining the problem.

I've had trouble with K&Ns they first came out too. Had S&Bs in my FE.. One flows better than the other? I'm beginning to wonder how much of that (if true) is at the expense of more dirt dirt coming in.

I also like the horizontal pattern of the K&Ns. They're the only ones that use horizontal pleats.

AND I've discovered the secret to not having your clips pop off

I think they're sold...I'll post again if they're not.
