Fastest Bolt-on time??

Just curious guys, but what is the fastest bolt-on Viper running Gen2 or Gen 3? By bolt-ons I mean no internal mods (heads/cam) and no power adders. Essentially, (headers, cat-back, tubes, tires...etc..etc)

Has anyone got a 10.99 out of one of these cars yet???

10.99 ..... while it's possible (maybe) that's pushing it even with tires. I doubt it has been done. Would be interesting to see what the faster times are in the configuration.

Yeah I did searches and he seems to hold the current bolt-on record of 11.070@123. I was just wondering since the new Z06's are running 11.3's@127 with DR's and bragging about going 10's with bolt-ons and how slow the Viper is....yadda...yadda. So guess I may play with this car and bolt-ons first.

I don't know about anyone else, but I consider the roe supercharger a bolt-on. I did it with a local viper guy in my garage over a weekend. We then sent to car down to Carb Connection to get it dyno tuned. I do not consider myself a master mechanic by any means (although I've turned wrenches from the time I could pick them up). With just the supercharger (5lb) headers, exhaust, intake and TB...I recall it made something close to 600rwhp. This was on a 99. I'm sure he could run 10's as we make nearly the same hp and my Heads/Cam car.

Typically a bolt-on car is seen as no internal engine mods (cam, heads, ported intake) and no power adders (turbos, nitrous, blowers). SO only basic parts like headers, cat backs, rockers, gears, tires, cold air intake....etc..etc

I haven't heard of a C6 Z06 going 10s yet. My buddy did 11.04 in very good air with headers, tune, modified filter and tires. Wanted and Ranger raced against each other few months ago and Ranger pulled 11.2s on a stock C6 Z06 with drag radials.

Pauls, that is impressive. Looks like you have the record right now, since I have yet to see anyone go faster then your times with bolt-ons only and no power adders.

Paul it will be interesting to see what the new Z06's can do with just bolt-ons. Most of the owners I have spoken to claim the cars will do 10's easily with all the bolt-ons and tires.

I don't know about EASILY going 10s but I bet a good driver in good air will have a good shot at a 10 second slip. I predict this October or November you'll start to hear guys in the Northeast getting bolt-on C6 Zs into 10s on drag radials. I went 11.37 with bolt ons in a C5 Z06 putting down 385 rwhp so it's possible for the 427s to push into 10s.

Awesome, please keep in touch as I'm curious to see what a true bolt-on viper can do. Tired of hearing about the C6 Z06's with bolt-ons....
