Problems with '99 RT10 hardtop

Hi All,

I just bought a '99 RT10 and absolutely love it! The only problem that has surfaced so far is that the hardtop rattles like crazy on the left rear latch area. I hear is snapping onto the pin, but when I hit uneven/rough pavement, it makes lots of noise. I can push up on it from inside the car and can feel that there is a bit of play. Is there a bushing or something that I am missing?

Thanks!

Assuming this is happening when the top is properly secured you might want to cut a small piece of plastic tubing and fit it over the latch so it acts as a washer.

But the best answer is to remove the top.

Another thing you will want to do is keep a towel in the trunk. The tops leak, some bad in heavy rain. Throwing the towel over the counsel or dash will protect the electronics, etc.

You should also drape the towel over the windshield frame to protect it from scratches when installing the hard or soft top.

You may need to adjust the left latch.
