Hey there all

I´ve been craving for a GTS since I first saw one in a car magazine back in 1996, then 15 years old. I´ve never seen one in person in my entire life. Now it´s been about 10 years since then and finally I have the ability, financially, to get me one of those.

I´ve got a few questions for you Viper owners, since I´ve never been in a GTS.

1) Legroom, headroom... just overall room inside the GTS. How is it, compared to, lets say, a regular family sedan. I´m tall and not the skinniest of the bunch, so this is quite important.

2) Getting in and out of it? Wide sills, low seating... are the doors as small as they look like?

3) Any problems I should know of and look for especially? Defects in certain models?

I´m planning on getting one by the start of next year, if everything goes as planned. Preferably, a blue one with white stripes but I´m also interested in red with white stripes, graphite with white/silver stripes and some others. Which brings me to the fourth and final question...

4) Any Viper dealership you could recommend or a specific GTS here on the forum maybe that´s up for sale?

The short answer is as always... search the site and you will find all your questions have been answered at one time or another for sure.

The long answer... a Viper is a Viper... so you have to bend to get in it either way. I'm 6'2 and fit fine in both an RT and GTS. Yes there is seat lowering kits up to 2 inches if you really feel the need for more head room. I guess the doors are "small" but again it's a Viper...
Blue/White cars are 96 and 97 only, the Red/White cars are final edition GTS's for 2002 only. Forged piston/cam cars to add bigger power
(950+) are from years 96-99 and all other cars (00-06) have weaker cast pistons (good up to around 700+ HP)
Since your other questions pertain to buying the car which for you is another 6 months.. just search the site from now till then, you'll pick it up as you go.

That´s the real problem. I´m in Iceland, there are two Vipers here, both RT/10´s.

Thanks for the point-outs Viper4Christ, I have been all over the internet searching for the Viper I want, and most certainly I have found many. I did however know that the blue w/ white stripes was 96/97 only and that the red is the final edition. What I´m saying is that I want those colors/models.

And yes, a Viper is definately a Viper, and I´m quite sure I´d need a lowering kit for the seat. Are there many manufacturers of those kits or where could I get those? Also, can the seats be moved front and back in the GTS? If so, would that be impossible with the lowering kit?

And yes, I do know how to use the search button since I´m on many other boards, this is just the only Viper board I´m on so I´m all up for the chatting and questioning you guys about the snake
