One of our customers was building a custom intake and contracted us to build a cowl style hood to get him a little more clearance.

The problem with this getting posted here and on the "other" site is that although it was created for/by someone who is accomodating some performance improvement, eventually the posers will adopt it as "cool."

That's how wings got started on street cars. They are an abomination on anything not raced at high speed. However, there is a large crowd who don't even consider themselves as posers who want them because they want to look cool. Then they start arguing that only certain shapes of wings are "uncool."

Of course this BS line is from a noobie, and I have to say that I am really thinking about putting a big Firebird decal on the hood of my ACR; so, I may be a little behind the curve.

It is obvious to me that the reason parts of the hood are painted silver is to match the roof he obviously picked up some where for a "good deal". Hey heres an idea instead of painting the hood to match the roof why not simply paint the hood to match with everything else. What an idiot!!!!
