i ran side on my gts for a few months. b&b headers, no cats, borlas and the drone killed me. i was happs as a pig in shit when i switched back. but to answer your question, autoform makes a piece to fit the rear bumper
Check out my pictures for the side exhaust. The side sill were cut and I'm having the rings redone in stainless and a stainless panel made for the rear exhaust opening. Any creative sheet metal shop could do it. I deleted the cats and have one muffler per side. The drone is intense but well worth it.
I bought a set of Gen 2 style side sills with the side exit. Im having a stainless steal plate made for the opening and running headers, no cats, and belanger side exit exhaust. The car sounds killer with the super charger!! I wouldnt change a thing!! But I will warn you of long distance trips......Bring your Advil!
Changing from rear exhaust to side exhaust will diminish your aerodynamics a bit, disrupting flow around the car at speed as it blasts out the side pipes, and you'll be removing the void-filling abilities of rear exhaust at the same time.
For many cars what happens in the back, is more important than what happens in the front-aerodynamically speaking.
