New guy (old Lingenfelter just sold) happy to be taking delivery of a 99 GTS this week.
Question:
What power can I expect from the following - 99 GTS with 9K miles, K+N plus smooth tubes (non-conical, flat in factory box) larger (70mm) throttle body, Borla cat-back exhaust, T&D rockers (and pushrods) and "Mopar" ECU upgrade (told it was a performance box from Dodge). Will this put HP at the crank to around 480? and what is the RWHP on this.
Second, where to go from here. I don't need F/I, but I would like a stout street Viper. I'm thinking headers and head work could get me to 525-540 at the crank. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance

On a good dyno run you should be able to put down 450+ HP and close or above 500 rwtq with what you have now. It mostly depends how strong the stock motor was. I've seen stockers go up to 422 rwhp and 470 ft lbs on a good pull. Also the "larger 52mm TB's" is not right. Vipers come stock with 65mm TB's to begin with.

Sounds nice! What condition is the car in? Would you mind PM'ing me the amount you paid for it? I'm trying to get a feel for the market (actual sales, not asking prices...)
I think values for these low mile, one owner GTS's are in the mid 40's in general. I shopped awhile before deciding on this one. I really think that they won't dip below the high 30's ever. There will always be enough buyers willing to pay at least that for these Gen II cars. IMHO.

So, the guess is 450/500 ? I hope so, I am coming from a 482/487 corvette convertible and I would hate to move to a significantly slower and more expensive sports car...
Yeah whats with the 70mm throttle bodies? I've heard of problems with them being that big without forced induction.
Just putting 70MM on a stock car will yield LESS TRQ, but since he has tubes, filters, Catback and T&D's, it's probably beneficial, BUT Headers would be a huge benefit I am dropping my price on a set of Hennessy headers to $1200 if you're interested OKViper.
