Will a 19x14 wheel fit in the rear without problems?

im looking into getting a set of iforged wheels (daytona or classic) and saw they offer them with a 14" rear. im going to go with 355 tires and wanted to know if everything would fit under the fender without problems or rubbing. my car is lowered with eibach springs and i have the factory brake system.

i wanted to get the biggest lip possible in the rear. or should i just stick with 13s?

If mechanical grip is your problem, there ain't much a 355 is gonna do over a 335. You're adding more rotational weight and the actual footprint of the tire to the ground is maligned. I'd worry more about tire compound and shock settings.

If you just want to pimp, feel free to go to a 14" wheel.

Those have a 6 inch lip. That is Vincents old C4s with a little blower on it.

The size of the lip had nothing to do with the width of the wheel. You will never get a 6" lip on a viper. The mating surface sits too far to the outside of the car.

What Gary just said. If you stick with the stock caliper on the GTS or RT-10, in the precision series iForged/Hennessey wheels, you can get a 5 inch lip. That is tops. I have a set being made now in a 20x13 rear with a 5 inch lip. I have a 4 to 4.5 now on my coupe on a 20.

If you ever plan on running any form of BBK, then have them built using SRT caliper clearance and offset.

Bingo!

One other thing, a 355 would be stretched on a 14" wheel. I have 355's on my Viper on CCW's (355/25/19) and they look just right.

I wish someone made a 375/25/19, I would jump on a set of 19X14's for the snake, that would look KILLER!

As far as traction, I'm not sure if it's the tire or the width but my 355/25/19 Pirellis have a lot more grip than the 335/30/18 Pilots I took off the car....

Thanks guys, and thanks gary. I thought if the wheel was wider the lip would be larger too. im going to stick with the factory width for the front and back.

that porsche is a 19" wheel, does that mean its rear tires are 355's? they look wider, or is it just the angle

It is just a 19 inch wheel. Having that much lip makes it look huge.

ahhhh , i see

How do Hennesseys wheels compare to iforged pricewise since they are the same? I'm not being cheap, I just dont want to spend more than I have to. I emailed them a few times and it takes forever to get a reply

i got a quote from iforged as followed

Quote:
All 3 wheels are the same price. (Classic, Daytona, Aero)

We make the perfect size for Vipers, and it's 19x10 front, 19x13 rear

19x10 725/wheel
19x13 965/wheel

total is 3380, and those are all 3 piece wheels.

I'm guessing they are 355's, I have not found any wider tires.

IForged are sweet wheels, I have a buddy with a nice 97 big turbo Supra with 19" IForged wheels and a friend with a Heffner TT Viper with 19" IForgeds and they are both awesome wheels! In fact I ordered a set of 19X10 and 19X13's IForged for my Supra and I'm considering selling my Viper's CCW's to get IForgeds on it.
