Headed out to LA tomorrow night to pick up the 02 FE, spending three nights in Vegas, maybe one night with UtahViper, one night in Vail and then a run back to Georgia.
Never been to Vegas....any suggestions fo a country boy
p.s. the wife will be with me
Just got back from Vegas with my wife a few hours ago. The indoor garden in Bellagio is amazing, with an intricate scale train display running through it. Walk through Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn. Your wife may like the Fashion show mall and the high end outlet mall. You may like indoor skydiving, the indoor karting track, the pinball hall of fame where you can play them all, and the indoor gun ranges with machine guns.
L.A. to Vegas is not for speeding. Lots of radar and traffic. Past Vegas....
If you want to go to a show PM me a day in advance and I'll see if I can do anything for you.
No sir....Thru Utah, Denver Colorado, Topeka Kansas etc. etc.
The V1 is ready and the firearm is ready to go thru the airline procedure (the wife wouldn't carry it in her pocket book )
I was watching tonights flight out of Atlanta (same one I will be on tomorrow) and the dumbass tried to come into Pheonix (layover) from the north....he had to hold then go land at Albuquerque because of weather and maybe fuel issues. He is back in the air 18 minutes as of now. Meanwhile a Delta flight out of Atlanta just behind him takes the southern route right in. I HATE flying commercial....oh boy.
Now days private airplanes have better weather then the big boys.

dont speed from la to vegas, i got a ticket on the way there 2 weeks ago. there are so many chp's. i was stupid and got tagged going well over 100, the cop was really cool though and wrote the ticket for a lower speed so i would be able to go to traffic school. after that i pretty much just drove the speed of traffic which was about 80mph (i think posted is 75?). as long as you are going with the flow and cars are around you, you are fine. its just when you are alone on the road it makes it easier to tag you
Trailer it , a local Viper owner took a semi gator to the hood 2 weeks ago during his drive "back from purchase" cross country trip in his new GTS. His hood is wasted , it blew out the naca duct and more.
Stay at Paris. Most Reasonable pricing. No kids. Center strip.
View of Belagio's foutains. Minimal walking inside. Romantic
atmosphere (might get lucky). Cause you've got no chance
on tables, lol.
Have dinner at TOP of the Eiffle tower.
Get 1/2 price tickets day of show, at several stands around strip.
Walk the strip at night and see the treasure Island pirate show.
Take a JET helicopter ride for $60./ 15 min. around the strip.
Have fun Beotch
Picked up the car from Mike around midnight Thursday night. The car is nice and just as Mike presented it to be. After his LA horror stories when we were looking the car over, this georgia boy loaded the rounds in the firearm and headed east Spent the first night about an hour out of East LA then got to Vegas Friday morning. I have never been there so needless to say it was something else....the icing on the cake was cruising the main drag in the Viper. In the land of all that money a GTS still gets the attention it deserves....pictures, pointing, etc. etc.
Sunday we headed up to Todd Wilhites (UtahViper) house to spend the night. He is just south of Salt Lake in Provo Utah. Todd's house is at 4500' elevation....normal for that area, but his house is setting on the side/bottom of a 12,000' mountain that still has snow on it. No wonder he laughs at Georgia's 3000' mountains (Todd calls them hills ) He has an awesome spread and a great family.
Late this morning (Monday) we headed east thru the mountains with a stop in Vail Co. The drive has been great....amazing views and scenery. Everything from hours of straights cruising at 95-105 with the occasional run to 150, to miles and miles of twisties in between huge peaks beside rivers yadda, yadda....I can't describe how great the driving has been. At one point I saw over 11,000' elevation on the GPS......let me tell you, around 8,000' and up even a Viper has lazy acceleration. One of the best down hills beside the Colorado river thru tunnels etc. (probably 10+ miles long) we got behind a darn police car (50mph zone).......at the bottom I had to turn around and go back to the top to properly do the drive I wasn't letting it all hang out (the wife doesn't go there) but down hill at 85 or so made for nice sweeping turns.
I am currently in Denver for the night, looks like one more stop tomorrow night and that should get us home Wednesday, 1300 miles left. It will take me a few days to get things settled at home and I will post up some pictures.....I will have to narrow them way down. Like my wife said "after every curve there is another picture that needs to be taken" It's like driving thru a post card
