Window Regulator?

Has anyone else been waiting for one of these on backorder for friggin' ever? It's been over a year now (passenger window pops when going up) and all they can tell me is they haven't got a date on when they will be available.

If there are others waiting I'm wondering if we can band together and get some of these built. Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

Yep still on a waiting list for that window regulator.. and I don't even have my car anymore, still thrilled about getting that regulator.. They have no passenger one's available.. plenty of driver's one's though.

I think I will take it when it arrived and sell it to you rich bastards for 10k

Biggs, wouldn't it be faster to just sell the car and buy another Viper that has working windows?

Now that's an idea! Bigg's Viper needs stripes anyway. It looks too plain next to the striped GT.

I like my solid Steel Gray thank you very much! Since others have the same problem with getting the regulator, seems like the VCA could step up and help...

BTW getbit, the window works, just goes *pop* right before it gets to the top...

I just ordered one but for the drivers side, think it was over $400?? My window was not rolling down sometimes and then it just fell into the door. Took the panel off and the plastic piece that the cables hook into was broken. I was told that piece was not available seperatly and I had to buy the whole regulator to get it?

well i can get it for dead cost but it looks like the passenger side is whats not available

Don't know what the dealers are telling you guys but the regulator pn4763282 is showing 45 in the Sherwood depot and two in the New York depot. Currently no orders outstanding, so at most it should take 3-4 days to get. The drivers side is harder to find but also available within a couple days. To be perfeclty honest, the usual cause of the popping is not the regulator but the glass. There are attaching points that are epoxied to the glass that attach it to the regulator and these points very often separate from the glass and are not repairable.

Oh, no there is nothing to prevent this, outside of spraying silicone in the window glass run channel.

Hey Tom how ya been? I never did get my car to you to get the popping noise fixed

Can the part that is epoxied to the glass just be reglued if that's the cause and not the regulator?

Long time man!

Sometimes they can be epoxied, but more often the glass has to be replaced. Some glass companies can do a better job of the resecure, but even than it's hit or miss.

By the way, how is the candy biz?

You should stop by sometime if you are still in Deerfield, being that I am now in Northfield, right off the Edens.

Tommy...yeah, I saw the post regarding Wayland and congratulated him. I told him next season I'll definitely try to make it out to see him in action.

The window is actually working fine and that's why I never bothered to get it to you. Once in awhile it will pop but hasn't caused any issues.

Since Halloween is just around the corner I've been getting asked to get some candy so I'm working on it and let you know. I'm not only being asked about candy but it seems like every mother out there with a newborn is looking for baby formula

I'm still in Deerfield so I'll try to stop by and say hi and check out the dealership.

I am just busting your chops about the candy, I really don't need any more sugar.

Regarding the formula, my 3 mos old is fed au naturale so not formula needed here.
