It still boggles my mind that we even have this conversation.
Every year someone throws out a Flanders egg, and every year the membership renews its dues, knowing full well that the money is being mishandled and that nobody can get anywhere with their requests.
The answer is simply to stop paying the VCA until they A) Get rid of Flanders, and B) Start accounting for every penny that is spent on a yearly basis.
As a non-profit organization, every member should be mailed a complete and up-to-date financial statement that details every VCA transaction down to the smallest denomination. If the VCA buys a fucking postage stamp you should know about it.
Until then, stop sending them your hard earned money.

Too many people devoted TONS of time, and still do, all for litle-to-nothing! Why? Because of the love of the car....simple.
The ONLY people who should be reaping ANY benefits are the members themselves.
I, personally, NEVER did anything for ANY reason other than to make something better for the rest of the members.
Did I have people offer things? Yes. Did I get the occasional surprise gift? Yes. ALL very heartfelt and warming. I still have them ALL! I model Comp Coupe from Viperess, as well as a pewter Viper. I have two Christmas Ornaments from Marv. A coaster from George....all over the course of MANY years.
I told Lee this at least twice....the minute I found that ANY one person started benefitting from the club...on a personal level...I was OUT. And here I am.
I specifically, and politely, declined ANY offers of help, in ANY fashion, that were NOT offered to any other member.
I think it ONLY FAIR to put some of these latest "findings" in the hands of the VCA Members themselves.....at least those who frequent the Members Area of the Morg.
You can email it to me, I'll upload it. oneflynls1@cox.net
You'll have to call Matt(Mopar Man) or myself to hear about our face to face with Ned Thursday night.

Hey, rumor has it that they had elections during VOI and that there is a new slate of National officers starting up January 1st. Sounds like whoever takes over as Treasurer really has his work cut out for him. I hope he posts here so we can razz his azz accordingly...

Chris - you the new treasurer? If that is the case then between you and George Farris yall should be able to get the VCA headed back in the right direction.
I'm glad there are people who are willing to fight the fight to make a difference. I have explained my concerns to my regional president and DAL in hopes that during the January BOD meeting, they will my concerns addressed. That's what my regional officers are for right?
President - Bob Carroll
Vice President - George Farris
Treasurer - Chris Marshall
Secretary - Jeff Pilgrim
I suspect you will see some changes going forward, including a LOT more solicited feedback on how the club spends its money - and where it went to begin with.

You crazy bastard.
You have my help if needed - and you know how to get ahold of me.
Chris - since I haven't seen it mentioned here, congratulations. I've known George for a couple of years now and he is a great guy and spoke highly of all of you on the national board with him.
I hope you don't mind the kind of events we like to have in the Nevada Region! See you at the next BBQ!
Chris - great news and job well done. I dont know Bob Carroll or Jeff Pilgrim, but I know that you and George are first class people who's only agenda is a quality car club. This is great news all Viper enthusiasts.
