"This is no business of Mr. Pierce or Mr. Hennessey or any of you others."
OH HELL NO; it's anyone's business that's a card carrying member of the VCA. Would you like it if the government raised taxes, but then told you to shut up or totally ignored you when you asked what for? Don't you feel you have a right to know where your money goes?
He rules that site with no checks and balances, and it doesn't seem he has to answer to anybody. I feel that when he started receiving funds from the VCA it was no longer "his" site, and the VCA (not Ned Flanders) should make the rules. Otherwise, we're just secretly donating $37K a year to some prude to pick and choose what post HE wants to delete.
All the while, the server slowed down to a freakin' crawl. Howls of discontent rained down from everywhere. Jay did nothing except put Jag vents in the hood of his VIN.
In 2005...I would estimate that about $350 of that went to me.....for my constant connection to assist. I have posted this several times...nothing to hide here....and I wonder how accurate that number is (NOT the $350)!!!
BTW.....I will pledge any/all VCA dues to MP and the Alley from here on out. I have plenty of cool stuff I have offered to MP....much of what I did THERE is MINE...and I can contribute it to anyone I want.
Now....where do I get a "VCA SUCKS" t-shirt?!?!?!?!
I can imagine how uncomfortable the atmosphere got when it was revealed that Ned got 11K last year for providing exactly what? Got a feeling he isn't paying too much out of pocket for his VOI trip as well. I'm thinking this is coming to an end soon.
Today at the VOI9 it was disclosed at the VCA presidents meeting that Jay Herbert was paid approx. $11,000 in 2005 by the VCA.
Not only that but he has a LIFETIME CONTRACT that states that he is to receive a percentage of the profits of the website even if he is no longer involved in it.

LMAO, what a sweet deal that is for him. Lifetime residuals. A lot of movie and music stars don't even have that....lol

Bingo! And not just a small percentage, either. Although it's my understanding that contract is not enforcable.
I've heard that he has been receiving money based on this document, but that the contract does not have all the required signatures to qualify it as legal and binding.
