Catch cans
I know they're not high tech but why the hell do they gotta be so ******* huge? The ones I've seen could double as a dry sump. All I want is a little aluminum can about 2" dia and about 3" tall.

Thanks. That looks like the same dimensions as the Moroso one.
I was just venting. A simple thing like a catch can shouldn't need to be wedged in anywhere. I think I'll build my own.

That's pretty close. I'll have to give him a call.

Chuck, if you want, I can take some pics of the system I've been putting in the Roe cars. Small container I buy from Jegs for about 45 bucks.

I run the Moroso in my Viper and the smaller Jazz can in two of my other muscle cars. Both work fine.

How about this one designed for a motorcycle? Unfortunately, it doesn't say what the size is, but appears small relative to the fittings.

Just enough volume to catch decel oil slosh before it gets to the airbox, eh Chuck?

Exactly. Who the hell fills up one of those bigass tanks anyway? Certainly not drag racers. I'm running 30 minute sessions at a dozen events annually and I probably wouldn't need to empty one of those bigass things until the end of the season.
I should just route a hose to the windshield cleaner reservoir. A Viper has no use for one of those anyway.

edit: that's the one. Use 3/8 hose fittings tho. Closer to the fitting size on the valve covers. just bend the mounting tab to a 90 degree angle and use a self tapping screw to the crossmember right by the alternator.

Why not just run a hose out the back ?
OK, OK, seen too many 007 movies; and besides, it might be a problem for you on the next lap.
