Things to worry about when buying a low mileage Viper?
Title is self explanatory, just wondering if its bad when the car's been parked for the last 10 years & what things to really look for or be prepared to change/fix.
If it has been parked for 10 years, tires and oil come to mind. It is also quite likely that the inside of the fuel tank has oxidized. You will most likely need to replace the battery and re-lubricate the ball joints and tie rod ends. My recommendation would be to do a complete fluid replacement for the car.
the guy might have drove the car very hard those 1k miles. i know some people who buy new cars and drive the sh1t outa them and sell them within a few k miles

1. 1996/1997 GTS under 1000 miles
and/or
2. 2002 GTS FE under 1000 miles
Mine was 10 years old with 200 miles on it when I bought it. New tires are a must, as the old rubber will be hard and give no traction, to the point of almost being unsafe. Pilot Sport PS2s mounted were about $1500.00. New fluids thoughout and a new battery were important for me, as it was only driven a few miles a year to keep it in shape. In the case of a low mile car, you can not say it does not need x,y, or z because of the miles. Protect your investment, and have it serviced.
I do not regret getting an extreme low miles car, it was unmolested, and almost new condition.
I have had it since August of last year, and it was stored for the winter. Odometer just turned to 1,000 last week, so I have put about 800 miles in the few months I have driven it, 4 TIMES the amount the previous owner drove it in 10 years. It would kill me to just look at it sitting there on the nicer days.
Tires that are over four or five years old are definitely unsafe on the Viper - I almost wrecked mine the first month I had it for that very reason. They let go suddenly and with little warning.
