stalling w/ braking

Have an '01 that when you let off gas pedal the idle drops way below what it should be and some of the time it "catches" itself and the idle comes back up to where it should idle at. When you are driving around, it will stall when you hit the brakes. I suppose the loss of vacuum magnifies the problem. It starts right back up. Is this an I.A.C. problem?
The car has a Roe w/ water/meth, headers, etc.
Is there a glitch in the Vec. tuning?

TIA,
Mitch

Is the car almost undrivable at low RPMs? Does it stall when you let off on the gas? Does it not idle?

Mine did that and we ended up having to add another ground to the throttle position sensor, I believe - brutal to diagnose - car ran GREAT at WOT, but was a bitch any time under 3K rpms. Tried the IAC, TPS itself, other sensors stolen off a spare motor - nothing. Tom Sessions finally fixed it 6 hours before it went to it's new home.

No, it drives alright. Just has a crappy idle,(low at times) and will stall if you don't catch it before it does die. Like the idle could be set up just a touch. The really wierd part is it doesn't do it all the time. About 75% of the time.
Could it be a problem w/ the older pcm in the newer car? '01 w/ 98 pcm.
I leanong towards the throttle bodies need to be set open a little bit.
