9 Sec 1/4 mile HP?

Hi, I'm fairly new to all this but, is there a round about HP range that would let you achieve a 9.9 or so in the 1/4? Provided all the other conditions are right, tires, driveline, ect. This is on a 98 GTS stock weight with 6 spd. Thanks

700-750 RWHP should get you into the 9s.

A very experienced driver can go 9's w/ 700-750whp.

I have been a 9.72 @ 147 with about 780 rwhp.

Alot of it depends on weight...The Viper (3400lbs) + a skinny ass driver (150lbs) would need 705 wheel HP to get a 9.99.

Right at about 134 mph in the 1/4 mile = a 9.9 ET if you did everything *perfect*.

Nahh, his foot just slipped a little thats all

Actually Jason is a really good driver, I was at ATCO when he was driving a customers DIY kit, took it to a 10.87 on stock tires, motor, and 5 psi boost

Click the "Timeslips" button at the top of the screen and get a good idea on horsepower and 1/4 mile numbers.
