Subwoofer for 99 RT/10

Hey guys,

I have searched all of this forum and the Viper Club Forum, I can't find anything that works with this center channel. I called dodge and they tell me to call Alpine.. Which I can't seem to find anything about either.

What speaker can I buy for the rear center channel (sub I suppose) that works and that fits correctly without modding that panel? its 6.5 inches but what speaker will fit? also which one has the appropriate connector?

I would really appreciate this info if anyone knows...

thanks

I have an Infinity sub/speakers. Without changing anything else in the car(stock radio and amp), they sound awesome!

<-- is this the speaker?

Sorry guys i just don't want to make a mistake with the speakers I buy, I want to make certain they are the right speakers for the right portion of the car.. I need a REAR speaker which I assume is the subwoofer.. would these work? if so which one on this page.. according to the infinity site they recommend these.. just want to be clear.

would have to pull them out, but they came as part of a componet system. The rear speaker is "woofer looking" no tweeter. Here are some pictures. I believe they are 180W and 280W capable.

Ok thanks. it appears that infinity recommends the same type of speakers for the rear channel as they do in the doors? will that work? can those speakers also act as woofers?

JL Audio makes a sub for that location Specific. The only thing that you will need to do is remove the panel and Fiberglass the backside making it air tight. Once you do this the mini sub will act like a sub and sound fantastic. You will only get bass through it and no music or words. This is what you are after is it not?
Here is my sub for the GTS......night and day difference between this and the RT/10

is that speaker there in the center console stock? or was the opening cut to fit the speaker?

I just want the speaker replaced.. not looking to improve anything if that center rear speaker is designed as only a sub good. if not whatever it is used for I want that replaced.. I will look into JL audio as well..

The speaker in the center is an Infinity 603 I think. 280W capable. The doors have the intregal(sp) tweeter and are 180W capable.

I run eclipse all around. The woofers from a 6.5" componet set fit well. More bass would be nice if you were willing to do the box design as mentioned earlier, but the eclipse setup I have sounds very good. I was even able to use the factory amps and run them off my preouts on my eclipse head unit.
